Just got back from WDW. We were there over the 4th of July week and we couldn't secure any FP+ times and at rope drop the line was already 90minutes plus. I did see the line grow to 3 hours during the day. We pretty much had just accepted the fact that our daughter was not going to get to meet them this trip without using a large portion of our day by standing in line. However, during one of our nights in the MK we were in Fantasyland at the end of the night, closing was midnight, my wife and daughter were going to ride Peter Pan one more time. So, I told her when they got off of Peter Pan to go over to the Fairytale Hall and see if they could still get in to see A&E. So they got in line around 11:40p.m. with a 60 minute quoted wait time, but my wife texted me and said people were getting out of line. Long story short they did get in to see A&E and came out of the meet and greet around 12:10 a.m. If you don't mind waiting till the end of the night and your little princess can hang on this might be a strategy you will want to use. Good Luck!

We were in the MK late one night a couple weeks ago and noticed the same thing. The wait times were significantly lower the closer it got to midnight and the line itself was almost nonexistent. They were the longest at RD and right after.
