I saw someone post on Facebook that they are having dinner with Anna and Elsa in July. I haven't heard of them doing any character meals. Did I miss something???

Nothing but speculation and rumors at this point.:)

Maybe they are going to grab sandwiches at Kringla and offer the Queen & Princess one during the Meet?;):)

No, but if you can ask them where they made those reservations for I'd be happy to see there response.

My guess is, they made reservations for Akershus (in Norway), and they know Anna & Elsa meets in Norway, so they must be having breakfast with Anna & Elsa right?

If you consider them a friend, you might want to see what's up before someone's kid goes into meltdown mode.

:rotfl2: My husband and I were just talking about it and I said, "Maybe they are going to eat sandwiches while waiting in the 4.5 hr line and say 'Look! We are eating with Anna and Elsa!' "

I know they are using a travel agent. I kinda want to email the agent and ask them about character dining with Anna and Elsa and see what she says. Maybe she is giving out wrong information.

I was also thinking that they had the wrong information about Akershus. Hmmm...I want to bring it up, I'm just trying to figure out how to say it or question it without embarrassing her.

You could always just say that sounds like a wonderful idea and ask her where that you might consider it. That way you're not coming out and telling her right off the bat she's wrong or make her mad that you're doubting her.

The travel agency we are using for our August trip has a "travel agency exclusive event" which included a buffet dinner at the Living Seas Pavilion with Anna and Elsa. You have to be a client of the travel agency. You had to pay for tickets to attend ($67 for adults 10 and over and $45 for kids) and you have to have a valid Epcot park ticket for that day. We can't go, since the date in August does not line up with our park day plans.

Perhaps they (or another agency) are offering a similar thing in July?

Yeah, just play dumb. Ask her where the reservation is at.

If she says Akershus, it is likely she is just confused. Any TA telling customer Ann & Elsa are meeting at Akershus should be out of business.

Hmmm...I wonder if that is what they are doing.

I just emailed the travel agent. I will let you all know what she says!!

Well I just heard back from the travel agent and she said, "There is no dinner currently scheduled with Anna and Elsa - perhaps your friend meant the meet and greet?"
:confused3

I received an emailed flyer from my travel agent about it. I think its also listed on their website.

Last year, I used the same agency at the same time and they also had one of these exclusive events at Hollywood Studios. It was a breakfast buffet that came with a Toy Story character meet and greet and early access to Toy Story Mania before the park opened.

So, if your person isn't going to one of those type of things, then, yes, I would assume she is mixing it up with the regular meet and greet.

Well I decided to message her and ask her about it: I said "Hey! I saw your post about having dinner with Anna and Elsa when you go to Disney! Where is the dinner? I haven't heard anything about that!!"

Her response: "I didn't post about that"

So I sent her a screen shot of her post...No response and she turned off chat.

:confused3

She was probably confused by Akershus and the Anna/Elsa M&G both being at the Norway pavilion.

It seems like people are often misinformed or confused when it comes to Disney. On our last trip, someone told us they were going to AK that night to ride the night-time safaris. When I told them that no opening date has been announced for the night safaris yet, they acted like I was crazy... and then I bet they were mad at the CMs when they got to AK at 7:00pm and found out Kilimanjaro Safaris had ended at 5:30. :confused3

Sounds like your "friend" was dishonestly boasting and you caught her and she knows it.

:lmao:

Well played!

Well she finally wrote back and said "Oh I forgot about that post" so I said "So How did you book it? What restaurant is it at?" She said "They go to 1900 Park Fare."
So she is lying or misinformed right? Anyone ever heard of this??

I bet you she's totally confused (or was told this by someone who was totally confused), and has mixed up Anastasia and Drizella for Anna and Elsa!

I did see on FB last night, someone had posted a flyer from an event in South Florida...it was an Elsa and Anna dinner. Very expensive. We were all discussing that it didn't look like a valid Disney sponsored event and we were wondering when the Disney lawyers were going to get invovled.

Uh, wouldn't that mean the food would have to be served cold?
