Anime, Manga, And Everything Else!

Oh! Is that the soda with the marble in the bottle? My friend drinks it all the time, but I've never had it, because I don't like soda.

I'll try! I'm super excited at even the possibility of meeting them. I'm like this with everyone who is relatively famous, though. Like, DestinyIslandsPro? They're somewhat similar to Kelly and Jenn, only they're really local. The one who cosplays Riku (don't know her name) called my Misa cosplay cute, and I started spazzing on the inside. XD

Imagine what I'd be like if I ever met Vic. Ohgods. XD

You'd probably react like these girls I know did. They started squealing and spazzing. I even have a video of everybody screaming when he came out to meet us. I was like "Dude...his mom is standing right there." I was so excited to meet Derek Stephen Prince but then another girl completely embarassed me in front of him so I think I almost died. I don't like him anyways. He was sick from drinking that morning and not too nice. I still like Vexen, but not him.

I'll have to look them up. I've never heard of them, though.

I do! I live off of ramen. And Ramune is another kind of noodle, I believe.

NOES! It's like, THE BEST SOFT DRINK IN AMERICA! (well, japan- but america sells it at some international stores... :) )

I loooovvve the strawberry kind. It's like a not-as-fizzy-strawberry fanta. :P

Hey. I'm a bit of an anime fan. I've watched about 4 series all the way through, and a couple partial series'.

Nothing cool, though. I watch pretty girly anime. :P

I'm not a big manga fan, but I do enjoy some anime. ^.^

I've always wanted to cosplay as Euphemia from Code Geass, but I always end up spending my money on lolita clothes (which isn't cosplay)!

Anybody here like lolita fashion?

They sell it at f.y.e. They have an anime day every two months or so. Check it out, they're pretty fun. (:

I like the style itself, but I don't wear anything lolita, lol. It's probably because a lot of the stuff looks pretty fancy and I couldn't find a right place and time to wear it. :/ My friend tries to be lolita. I don't think it's working. XD

I don't watch TV shows, but I love Ponyo and I used to watch Sailor Moon all the time.

Ramune is delicious, but I can only found it in our town once a year and I haven't seen it anywhere else.
And pocky is so good.

I don't wear it, I'm too shy and not very...Wild (in fashion terms...) but I have always thought lolita clothes were adorable! =)

I like playing jojos fashion show and doing the lolita levels. :) :cutie:

What's that? Never heard of it...But where I am, they are always in stock at this one place (plus all the little japan shops) called Cost plus World market. It's an international shop. You may have one where you are, maybe not. :lovestruc

Oh my... Images of ita coordinates and horrible "lolita" dresses from ebay came to mind when you said that xD

But I usually wear lolita out to the mall with friends, or when I go see movies. Things like that. However, one time when me and my friends went to see Alice in Wonderland, I was wearing gothic lolita and heels and walked over 2 miles from the movie theater to steak n shake with them... Good times and sore feet. xD

Also, International Lolita Day is June 5th, btw! Hehe.

It can be a really.. difficult style to wear and pull off right. Not to mention expensive, even if you don't buy any brand pieces (considering all the components of a single outfit). I find that the best times to wear it are when you're with a group of friends who accept the fashion (all my friends do... they're guys, but they know I'm a weirdo. My bf loves it!) or when you're actually with a group of other lolitas (I can't speak from experience when it comes to that, my first meetup with other lolitas will be on saturday).

I'd never wear lolita if I was out by myself... Especially sweet lolita. I think I'd feel like pedobait. Dx

I just started getting into Lolita fashion when I bought one of the hats at my last convention. I adore the style completely, but I'm no-where near looking like a doll. Over this summer I plan to creat a gothic lolita suit to wear at my next con. If you have any tips or the such, I'd greatly appreciate them. :goodvibes

Definitely check out these sites:

Definitely don't buy a dress from ebay. Some good, not brand, places to buy lolita clothes:

Anna House: Hong Kong based lolita "brand". http://www.annahousefashion.com/

Qutieland: Taobao shopping sevice. http://www.qutieland.com/index2.php

Bodyline: Some of their stuff is considered ITA (short for itai which means that it hurts to look at. Basically it means bad.), but other pieces are good. http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/

K. so i have a slight (ok HUGE) soft spot for anime and basically Japanese culture in general. I guess because it's really the shows i grew up on. The entire Dragonball series was my childhood basically and Anime is like an everday thing to watch at my house. even today. my dad and sister love it too. Although i have to admit, my sister has got me beat at fandom. She is OBSESSED. But, yea at my house anime characters are like household normal names. i think it's pretty funny actually. oh like we get netflix and everytime someone closes the DVD envelope we never call it "closing the envelope" we have to get out our "sealing Jutsu" and make ninja noises as we close it. lmfao...we're THAT awesome. xD

And on the topic of Lolita fashion. i've always though it was ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. But, i'd never actually wear it myself. unless i had like a con or something to go to. haha

I just wanted to say that me and my friend sometimes go over to her house and watched (non cheesyily)dubbed/subbed animes on demand. We think its funny to laugh at the bad dubs and its fun to watch the subbed/non bad dubs...

She has TONS of anime on comcast demand. :) At one point me and her would be obsessed with Peach girl lol..! Sometimes it was dumb, but it was still enjoyable!!!

The 3rd or 2nd episode was um...interesting...we skipped over it lol.

Hmm. Trying to help you there... didn't work. :/

Anyway, I'm thinking about wearing some lolita-esque clothes, but I'm not sure. (:

So... who here likes Vocaloid!? :D
