We are cruising on our very first Walt Disney cruise on The Wonder on January 8th. We are not really interested in dressing up for anything formal, however we really do want to dine in the Animators Palate. Do you think that this will be possible if we dress business casual?

Thank You!

John

on the Wonder all of the restaurants are nice casual.
There are no formal nights on the Wonder.
I recommend going to all 3 restaurants (Tritons, Animators Palate and Parrot Cay), they all have their own atmosphere (and their own menu). We enjoyed all 3.
And we never dressed up in any of them. My husband and son wore chinos and nice polo shirts every night. I wore a capri pants outfit (matching top and pants, but definitely sporty not dressy at all), my daughter wore designer jeans and a designer top (even though they say you're not supposed to wear jeans, but the jeans she wore were the really fancy kind)...
in any case, we fit right in...
granted there were a few people dressed up really snazzy but they were totally out of place....the casual people ruled the day....

All on the Wonder are casual but, out last two wonder cruises we "dressed up" for Tritons. DW got a 8x10 of us each time.

Animators Palate is definitely a "resort casual" (no t-shirts, shorts, jeans, etc.) restaurant so now worries about jackets or ties there. Triton's is the dressiest restaurant on Wonder (not counting Palo) and they suggest that gentlemen wear jackets, but don't say anything about ties. I wore a sport coat and polo shirt and felt very appropriately dressed. (Although DS6 insisted on wearing his tie!)

However, they don't really seem to do anything to enforce those "dress codes." We saw people at dinner in Triton's in old t-shirts and ratty shorts, which I think was inappropriate and showed a lack of respect (for the rules and for other passengers who may actually want to have, and have a right to expect, a "classier" experience). That said, I wouldn't have blinked an eye at someone in resort casual with no jacket.

I second what Disneyholic Family said about eating at all three restaurants! However, we're going to have lunch the day we set sail at Parrot Cay so we can have a lovely evening meal at Palos the day we're scheduled to rotate through Parrot Cay (hopefully!).

Just an idea for you...

They only request no shorts at dinner. For breakfast and lunch, you are welcome to wear shorts and t-shirts. Resort casual/business casual is definitely appropriate any time.
