What do you all think of this area in Dinoland? I think it is a cute little area, but it really doesn't fit in with the park. The rest of the park, to me, is classy. The carnival is cute, but I don't think it fits in Animal Kingdom.

what they were aiming for (the retro look) but don't think they have hit it yet. I'm not cheap but think it is terrible to charge to play the carnival games. Heck, you already paid to get into the park!! Maybe another ride (love the 2 there already) or two would help. I give them credit for trying something different!

I think it's OK. Primevial Whirl is a lot of fun and some of the theming is really great, but I wasn't really fond of the games area. I'm not opposed to carnival games, but the whole area around them just seemed really claustrophobic to me. And I'm sure that Tricera-Tops Spin is fun for young children, but it was very dull for me (and I think Dumbo, Aladdin, and Astro Orbiter are fun rides).

It's cool and they needed a few rides to attract more folks. We loved the Primevil Whirl and Dinosaur. They both were alot of fun!

Give it a shot :p

I think it looks sorta tacky, although I understand the whole story behind the area too.It was a cheap, quick way for Disney to put some much needed rides in the AK IMHO.The roller coaster is fun but I think Disney could have done MUCH better!

Not too thrilled with the carnival games either, hope they do away with it, and put in another neat ride.;)

Don't get me wrong. I really enjoyed the area and the theming. I thought it was well done. I just didn't think it fit in to the Animal Kingdom theming.

To me the games belong on the boardwalk, not where you pay appr. 50/person admission. Don't get me wrong I love to go to the boardwalk and play games just not when I'm charged admission. WDW parks have always been unique and I don't mind paying for that. But do resent paying to see things I can see for free. I will just avoid that section of AK and hope the games don't spread to the other parks.

It doesn't really fit in with the reat of the AK but I like it. It's like a clean street fair where you aren't afraid of the carnies and feel safe enough to let your kids ride the rides. LOL I wish they would have the games without the prizes so that they were free. It would be fun to play the games but I like others said I don't want to pay for them after I've spent big bucks to get into the park. Too much like other amusement parks.

This may be a coincidence, but, last year my DH and I played one of the games the, water balloons, just for fun and DH won. He won a green dinosaur. He gave it to me and I walked around the park with it all day as we were in lines such as the safari and the bugs life we didn't get fast passes because the fastpasses were for an hour away and the line was only 15 min wait. The CM at the entrance of the fastpass called us over and put us in that line.
A coincidence??? I don't know.
