Is the ride area in the Animal Kingdom supposed to be a prehistoric(Disney) amusement park. Is it done to show how the dinosaurs are to us this park is to MK??
I'm not sure I completely understand the question, but AK is set up so the rides and animal attractions are mixed together. The Asian animal trail is directly across from Kali River Rapids. It's tough to be a bug is surrounded by animals.
There is one area where the ride Dinasour is that also has a playground for the kids that's related to Dinasour bones. Primeval Whirl is also in the area and Dinasour themed. Other than that I can't think of any other Dinasour related things.
Here's the original Imagineering "backstory" for Dinoland USA -- "Celebrating our fascination with dinosaurs, this quaint, family-oriented fossil park grew from the bone-rich diggings discovered 50 years ago. Over the years a continuous stream of bone-hunting professors and grad students have built and inhabited a series of wooden cabins and various national park-looking structures that give the land a nostalgic look of the 50s and 60s. A 40 ft tall Brachiosaurus has been re-assembled to create the magnificent gateway, Oldengate Bridge, which guests pass through to enter this land."
I'm sorry, I was only talking of Dinoland.
It just seemed to me that they put a very old style looking carnival style area and wondered if they were trying to show it as a BD(before Disney) fossil.
The concept sent sounds very cool though.
If I understand your question, you were asking if the ride area in Dinoland is like a prehistoric amusement park, and it kinda is. There is the primeval whirl and some amusement park games and the mirrors that make your body look distorted. It does have the feel of an amusement park within a park with a prehistoric feel.
