Hello!

My family (husband and daughters who are 7 and 9) will be taking our first trip in October and our Animal Kingdom day is Oct 2. Right now it is closing at 7:30 and lists no nighttime entertainment....am I also correct that it does not have a parade? I am wondering if my family should head over to another park for the late afternoon/evening....but don't want to miss out on anything fun.

Thanks for any advice.

There have been many months this year where Disney didn't extend AK hours until the month before. (Like July getting updated in June)

Current hours are not at all set in stone.

About all you can do is make a plan A and B (A if they stay open, B if they don't.

Hours will likely be changed. And no there's no parade at AK, thankfully they got rid of it a few years ago. That parade made it nearly impossible to navigate the park while it was going on with the limited path space.

MK is the only park with parades

IMO, the parade at AK was the best on property. I am waiting to see if they are going to extend the hours including November. My last two days of the trip are not planned with what parks I am going to at night.
