That sums up what I love too! I am not big into "water" rides, but the Kali River Rapids look like fun too.

If you are a big animal lover, I would recommend going to Rafiki's Planet Watch as soon as it opens. Early in the morning they will sometimes perform live veterinary procedures. A few years back I had the joy of getting to see an annual check-up on one of their Malayan flying foxes.

There are some other fun things to enjoy there, but that was certainly the main attraction for me.

I would also recommend Flights of Wonder and Festival of the Lion King. FoW is a bird show that might seem easily skippable due to its lack of charismatic megafauna, but it's really well done and worth your time. FotLK is arguably the best show on property. It's unlike anything else you'll see and is probably my only "must-do" show every trip.

This is a great thread! We love Animal Kingdom. A lot of people dismiss it for not having a lot of rides, but I think it has the most immersive theming of all the parks along with great attractions including two Broadway caliber shows. However, because of its size and layout, we find AK the most cumbersome park to navigate. I would definitely space out your fastpasses and plan your day so that you aren't criss crossing the park unnecessarily. Kilimanjaro Safari and Festival of The Lion King are our favorites. My kids love Expedition Everest ; DD8 says she will go to AK just for this ride if nothing else . We haven't tried Dinosaur yet and will try to do this on our next trip. We also love all the live performers there especially the Harambe drummers

Can anyone explain to me these new rope drop procedures at AK
We plan to attend on EMH day, not ideal and probably should do it another day but if the park opens at 8am, where are you let in at?
Can we tour the Oasis exhibits and Discovery Island Trails before 8am?
