Animal kingdom we had some little....

You're in Disney. There are going to be loud children. Calling them animals is inexcusable and places the blame at the wrong door.

Wow!! I thought calling them "little animals" was one of the most euphemistic ways to describe them that I can think of!!!

I would just like to say these boards are here for us to vent and tell positive things also...I had a problem with the way people let there children run wild and as far as "little animals" it was because of where I stayed and that is how I felt at the time...

I just wanted to comment that all children at one time or another have or needed to act like "little animals" wether it be from being over sugar'd or they just need to vent a little extra energy. BUT in a resort room or hallway is NOT the place late at night or early in the morning hours.The blame then falls on the parent(s) that failed to teach manners and enforce them.On that note when a child is seen using good manners we (wife & i) make it a point to let the parent(s) know they are doing a great job. Doing this most times makes their day.
Now for my next comment... We recently visited WDW and stayed at the AKL.We arrived early ,at 12:30 and were in our savannah view room(great room)by 1 pm. We must have been fortunate not to have little stampedes above us. We were also on the 4 th floor.The only time we did hear any noises would be during the times when we were on the patio watching the animals and could hear our nieghbors doing the same. There were many times that I'd open the curtain,slide the door open and step out with coffee cup in hand and have a giraffe staring back at me while it nibbled on a tree branch.
sooooooooooo anyways.. sorry to hear some of you didnt have such a great time at AKL. I'd stay there again in a second!

Wow! We got back a week ago from our first stay at the AKL. DH and I never slept better and we both commented on how quiet it was, but we were given the top floor.

Tim checked us in, and he was a sweetheart. He couldn't have been nicer. As a matter of fact, every CM at the resort was wonderful.

We did have a connecting room. At one point, a family with very young, and excited kids checked in next door. (We were on our balcony when they first stepped out on theirs.) If we were on the balcony at the same time, sure we heard them, but otherwise, nothing.

We usually stay at DVC resorts and were very happy with our first visit to AKL. It's been a difficult year and this was a much needed, and, I have to say, perfect getaway.

I too, just got back from AKL and our experience was just fabulous!

We were on the 5th FL (Not conciere) and had just the best of times. The front desk staff was very accomodating and very friendly. We had several requests to them and each time they were attentive and extremely helpful.

We had 2 pool view rooms of Giraffe trail, has a view of the savannah and saw animals every day. Had no noise problems and mousekeeping was superb.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I'm sorry that other posters had problems, I think that you will find problems everywhere from time to time. Maybe we were fortunate to have everything go well.

We did have 2 minor problems, 1 was that they put DW and I in with 2 of our kids and gave the other room to just my oldest daughter, the front desk could not actually change the room assignments, but did give us room only keys for DS and DD to stay in the other room and guest services at AKL gave us the wrong time on the storytelling, but another CM gave us the right time and we went and had a great time.

We had 2 fridges (1 per room) they were free and were in cute cabinets that fit the themeing. The CM at checkin told us that they were there and were free.
