Animal Kingdom Value - where are they?

I have read tons on the great value of the AK value units, but I cannot figure out where they are in the complex? Are they the same type of unit just further away or with a parking lot view?

I can not tell u where all of them are but for sure the parking view is in the value category .

i believe all are on the third floor of jambo house. i also believe that some may have at least a partial savanna view while others have parking lot view. luck of the draw here. they go very fast as there are few of them and highly desired because of low points required.

All DVC units at Jambo are on the fifth floor with the exception of the Club Level villas. The value category villas are all quite close to the lobby with either a pool or Savannah view with a slight chance of a parking lot view(only 2 villas). They are smaller than the regular categories and classifies as value due only to their size not location or view.

Our family of three recently stayed in one on giraffe trail. Saw a few animals and our room was close to the front of the lobby.

I'm a huge fan of the value studios. First, when AKV first opened to DVC, I did a 3-way split among value, savannah, and standard view. I found no appreciable difference in losing the extra 3 feet. All I really noticed was that in the value studio, the bed and couch placement are reversed so that the bed is next to the sliding glass door. If you're a light sleeper and get a pool view (as the majority of value studios are), you MIGHT notice pool noise. I only mention that because my DH is a super-light sleeper. Once I had a value studio that overlooked the sunset savannah and I thought I'd won the DVC view lottery, partly because I'd saved so many points for that view. One thing I like is that whatever view you have, it's a relatively short walk to elevators and thus the bus stop. I also like that there are two sinks (yet, BCV deluxe studios only have one sink). If you can book a value studio (they go pretty quickly), I think you're fortunate.

I thrilled to read this because I booked value studio for my birthday in February...my friend and I are flying in from two different states and meeting there. I've been kicking myself for not booking a better view. I'm planning to submit a request three days prior to our arrival and make a request for a good room location. Glad to hear you've had good soon locations with value studio.

FYI: You can't make any requests if you have booked a Value accommodation at AKV. There are only 20 such vacation homes and most have a view of the pool, while others overlook a parking lot or a bit of the Sunset Savanna. Since there are so few vacation homes, its luck of the draw in regards to what you get.

We stayed in a value studio for the first time this past March and loved it. Really enjoyed the bed being by the slider. The sliders must be sound-proofed because once closed you cannot hear any noise. We were by the Flamingos and every time someone walked by they went insane . The best part was the TV which is centered more towards the couch instead of the bed. I don't know why all the studios center the TV on the bed. Also, really enjoyed not having to walk past the bed to enter the kitchenette area as DH sleeps in and I am up. Love how close to the lobby the value studios. As walkers we could totally avoid the elevators and used the stairs. I can see why people think the studios are on the third floor because they're two floors up from the lobby but the lobby is on the third floor with all the amenities on the 2nd and 1st floor.
