Animal Kingdom Touring Plans

Hello,

I am just curious how people are planning their AK visits with all the new changes. The last time we visited, there was no River of Lights, Pandora or evening hours. Our typical AK was an early morning breakfast in the park, ride Expedition Everest, the Safari and then walk around for a bit. We would usually be out of the park by 2:00 or so.

If we would like to ride EE, the two new Pandora rides, see River of Lights and possibly do a night time Safari, are we now looking at having to go to the park twice? I have not been able to look (outside my FP window), but I am assuming there are Fast Pass restrictions with most of these rides, not allowing you to book them all in advance together.

I am just curious how people plan AK now and would be interested to get some thoughts.

Navi River Journey and FOP are tier 1 so you could only FP one of them.

You could consider this option to avoid going twice:

Rope Drop Navi River Journey
Standby Safari (won't be a long line at all at this time of day in the early morning)
eat breakfast (can be moved lower if you aren't super hungry or don't want to backtrack to EE)
Use FP #1 on EE
Use FP #2 on FOP (be sure to book at the 60 day mark)
leave park and do whatever for most of your day
come back to AK at night and use third FP on Safari or ROL (I'd use it for Safari and just do ROL without one)

Thanks snoopy532, that makes a lot of sense. I was also contemplating the ROL Dining Package and maybe working that one in somehow.

Strangely, it seems like Pandora has made touring AK even easier if you are willing to get up early. My plan is to get there at 6 for EMH. Ride FoP, hopefully being one of the first groups, and off by 7:20. Navi seems to have a 10-20 minute wait that time most mornings so I think it will be possible to be done with that by 7:45. Then, for the next hour and a half the rest of the park has 5-10 minute waits. I expect to be done with all the other rides other than the safari by 9.

At RD everybody heads for FOP. We got a FP for FOP and hit Navi River and EE without lines at RD.

eat at Satu'li canteen
Safari FP( this is around 11:30am, which maybe late to see lots of animals...But am going in Nov.)
Everest FP
Dinosaur s/b maybe
Bug s/b
Break around 2pm.
