Animal Kingdom to DTD

We're looking for the "easiest" way to get from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney using Disney transportation. We're assuming it would be to take a bus to AK Lodge then a bus to DTD. What do you think?

You Should Be Able To Take A Direct Bus From Ak Not Sure

You can take the first resort bus, then hop onto a DTD bus. It really doesn't matter which resort it is. Or you could wait for a DTD area resort, then take a boat or walk to DTD.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but there might be a bus that goes to DTD from AK. I know they have that set-up at MGM, but I'm not sure about AK.

There are no busses direct to DTD from any of the parks. You'd have to go to a resort and switch busses.

Yes, we LOVE to go to Port Orleans and take the small pontoon boat transportation up the "river" to DTD.

The boats leave on the hour so you can time yourself "right" to do a little shopping in that nice POFQ gift shop and/or sip a soft drink as you wait for the boat.

Its not particularly FAST, but its an experience that many folks miss.
The boat captain tells you interesting facts as you cruise by some of the more "backwoods" resort areas.

You can either return by this boat-trip or depart DTD directly to any resort by bus.
