Animal Kingdom Question

We are going to DW the first week of December. Our first day (travel day) we are doing a half day at Animal Kingdom. We only spent a half day there last year so it's the park I know the least about. Anyway, here's my question:

This year will be the first year my daughter is tall enough for the Kali River Rapids so she and my husband are going to ride a couple of times before we leave for the day. I'm going to be 6 months pregnant so I'll be with my 2 year old while they ride. Is there anything particularly cool I can take my 2 year old to do while her sister rides the rapids? She was scared to death of the bug show so we won't be doing that again. Also, we'll all be doing to safari, the carnival area and the lion king show together......

The 2 yo might enjoy digging in the sand around the mammoth in the Boneyard (the huge playground in Dinoland) -- you probably don't want to follow her up and down and around all of the playground, tho. Or take the train out to Conservation Station -- you can just ride the train out and back and out and back again, if you don't want to walk to the Affection Section, etc.. Both of those are similar distances from Kali. Between the big tree and entrance to Dinoland, there's a good character meeting spot for Pooh and friends.

I don't have any kids but perhaps digging for fossils in dinoland or taking her to see the Flights of Wonder show?

I am sure she will be thrilled to have mommie's attention all to her self in such a magical place.

you have several options. You could walk thru the nearby animal exhibit with bats and tigers. You could take her to Flights of Wonder, a bird show (this would be my personal suggestion). You could also trek all the way the Camp Minnie-Mickey for character greetings.

Of course, I would take the whole family to Flights of Wonder and all the animal exhibits. They are all first-rate.
