Hi All,
I need help ASAP. Leaving next week with 9 year old DD. Should I stay at Animal Kingdom for an exta $500 for 7 nights or stay at the Coronado Springs? Please give me your feedback. Thanks so much.....

Sandy

If you have no trouble with the extra $500, I'd vote for Animal Kingdom Lodge. Coronado Springs is lovely, but AKL will have you "wowing". Even without a savannah view, you see animals right there every day. Many of the CMs are African and they truly go out of their way to please. There's storytelling in the evenings, as well as night-goggle animal-watching. There is a list of resort activities posted in the lobby.

Definitely AKL! If money is not an issue, that is where I would go.

SAME HERE! i have stayed at both and definitely prefer AKL!

If you don't mind paying the additional $500, then I'm with the others. AKL is really awesome!

Hi,
Thanks everyone for responding to my post...I was actually able to go in to the disney site and get the same price for the WL so I decided to change my reservation from CS to WL....Hope we like it..thanks again.

I just "upgraded" myself from a pool view to a savannah view... it wasn't much $ per night, but is it worth it? I'm keeping it a secret from my daughter, hoping she will walk in, go over to the balcony and be pleasantly shocked!

In your opinions, is there enough to do at AKL to keep us busy, if we're just planning on relaxing? Also, any recommendations on dining? Is Boma a NOT to miss, or is the buffett restaurant just as good?

I don't know the answer to your question about the views as I have not stayed at AKL. However, Boma IS the buffet restaurant at AKL. I believe Jiko is the other full-service restaurant.

Boma is very good if you are not afraid to try new and different foods. There is, however, plenty of "regular" food on the buffet for most people. Our family ate there, enjoyed it, but will probably not return.
