Animal Kingdom Napping Opportunities

Thanks for all the replies. We have a double stroller, since my daughter is only 16 months. We have traveled a lot with both kids and I know how they act on vacation. I don't have any nap time really scheduled for any of the days, but we have a REALLY long day this day (8 am Chef Mickey, AK, visiting friends at AKL, then dinner at Ohana @ 8 pm), so I am hoping my 4 year old naps. He sleeps easily with noise and in his stroller. The kids both have stroller fans and cooling towels for their necks. Because our day is long, I wanted to do something more low key to allow for my 4 year old to fall asleep. I think we decided on walking through the trails of Asia. I know my daughter will knock out and if my son doesn't, he will enjoy seeing the animals.

We would go into the restaurant by Dinosaur, if it wasn't crowded we would grab a booth.......leave the baby in the stroller to nap and have the older child lay down on the bench seat. One parent would leave to ride Dinosaur while the other parent watched the kids, then we'd switch.

Any chance of doing Lion King earlier in the day? Why at 4pm? If there's any chance of arriving at rope drop, you could do safari then and then Lion King at 10am. Then you could just leave after the Nemo show and go back to the hotel to relax/nap. We love the Lion King show but I don't know if I'd try to kill 3 hours with sleeping children just to wait around to see it.

No chance for rope drop, we have Chef Mickey reservations.. and I understand that travel to/from the resort can take up to an hour each way, so that's a waste of time when we have such a short time at AK anyway.

I am playing around with other times though. Right now I am looking at doing lunch at noon, Nemo at 1, then having from about 1:45-3 to let the kids try to nap, if not we will just be walking around Asia through the one trek there. Then do Lion King at 3 and have some time left to go to Rafiki's Planet Watch before closing.

The trails are a great option. My one-year-old fell asleep on one during his regular nap time last May, and then DH and I had something to do/look at while we waited for him to wake up.

Nap time is also a great time to take turns riding Expedition Everest, either single rider or rider swap, as someone previously mentioned.

Then you are close to DinoLand when they wake up, and if they are the type that need to burn off some energy right after waking up, the Boneyard playground is another great option.

I never know when my two will fall asleep.

One trip, we arrived at MK around 3pm on arrival day. Once we were past the entrance we realized both kids had fallen asleep in the stroller! They missed walking in and seeing the castle.

My four year old also slept through the entire Lion King show. I was shocked.
