Animal Kingdom music question

Okay, put your thinking caps on! In the area of AK where Festival of the Lion King is, they play some folksy-kind of music, sort of sound like lullabys (like Little Black Raincloud, Winnie the Pooh, etc.). Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Anyway, can you buy the soundtrack at AK? I searched a little but haven't come up with anything.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I don't think you can buy that soundtrack anywhere anymore. The artists name is Laurence Jubar. He has his own website you might want to check out. Also check out this thread,

I know you can buy a CD of AK music. It's in the gift shop across from ITTBAB, the one that wraps around the corner. The CDs were way around the other end, closer to Oasis. I still remember picking one up and then, for whatever reason, not buying it. I'm definitely getting it next time-I'm so sorry I didn't get it.

I bought that Animal Kingdom cd through the Disney Merchandise because I didn't buy one when I was there in 2004. I listen to it all of the time in the car, at home, and always have it turned down low at work. Helps me relax. There is only one song on it that has words to it, the rest are instrumental--very calm and peaceful music. In fact, the Oasis song that is #6 on the CD I heard on our videotape from vacation when we were walking through there. At least some of it is music from the actual park. Enjoy!!!

My DD and I have been playing the DAK cd in the car for a solid month. We'll be in WDW in less than two weeks!

The cd that I regret not buying is the Tapestry of Dreams one from Epcot. Similar story-had it in my hands, and for some reason, put it back. Hope we can still find it somewhere. As I recall, there was a great selection of park cd's at the DAK gift shop where you pick up the photos the CM's take as you walk in.

I bought the Millenium CD which had the Tapestry of Nations music on it thru Disney Deals for something like $10.

They play the music you are talking about on the Live365 wdw music stations. The one I am thinking of in particular is Radio Buena Vista. I think Mouse House Radio plays it also.

I also fell in love with the music, and after checking with the CMs at the Lion King show, and running around to various shops in and outside of AK, after hearing it on the Subsonic Radio website that it's called something like the Camp Mickey Greeting Trails music. I'd love to get a copy, but it seems it's not sold anywhere. I'd love to be corrected if I'm wrong!

The music in your link is on the Official AK album. It's from either the Oasis area or Tree of Life area. I have that CD and it's great. The music the OP is talking about is from the Character Grove area. It's all acoustic guitar. See the link I posted above for more detailed information. Of course that's just what I think the OP was talking about. I can't be sure of that.
