Animal Kingdom max capacity b/c Pandora?

Our plan is to get to Pandora at rope drop and have FP scheduled during that time. I know there will be a lot of others going there at rope drop but I think it will be the best shot of being able to get in there to see and ride the rides.

We had a trip scheduled starting June 2nd. After the announcement that Pandora was *finally* opening, I added an extra bit of time (the day we arrive) at AK vs just the 1 day I originally planned, in hopes to have a little more time to explore the new area. I'm not too concerned about it reaching capacity, but if they adopt the tiered FP system I wanted to be sure to grab a FP for both new rides over two days.

Yes. Hoping it's slowed down by October! Want it to succeed, but want to be able to see it!!

It'll be slammed for at least the first few years. The first initial week will be insane with 3 hour waits, but then October will likely see the same amount of waits that June will have

If it's well received it's going to be busy for a long time.

Considering SDMT, which is now almost two years old, still has 80 minute waits on a good day, I can't imagine you're wrong.

ETA: I lost track of time. It's almost three years old.

How will fp release work? Our trip is June 12-21 and my fp day is April 13th. Will they have them available to book for June?? And my tentative plan was to try for fp later in the day but someone mentioned a wait to get into the land?? Maybe I should re think my plan??

I'd be willing to bet FP's for both Pandora rides will go up 30 days out and not 60. This way makes it fair for on site, off site, and AP's to all have the same shot at grabbing one.

I could be wrong and they could be out by your 60 day mark...but Frozen Ever After and 7DMT were both released exactly 30 days prior to the rides opening, so I expect that to continue.

And you should be fine arriving later in the day. I doubt you'll find any wait to access the land

So based on the opening date of May 27 and previous openings it would be April 27th? That will be stressful!! lol

Why would Disney feel the need to even the playing field? They are in the business of filling rooms.

Rooms are going to be filled and the park will be filled as well regardless. As an AP holder who stays offsite, I'm hoping they release at 30 days myself.

We are arriving June 3-9. We are planning to go to Blizzard Beach the morning of Tuesday June 6th and then park hop in the afternoon to AK. Will this be a poor strategy considering the opening of Pandora? We are hoping to FP one of the Pandora rides and Kilimanjaro Safaris. What are your thoughts? TIA!

If you are ok doing just one of the Pandora rides.

If you REALLY want to do both, I would RD Pandora, doing one of the new rides. After an hour or so exploring Pandora, hop on a bus to RD Blizzard Beach. Only means getting up a bit earlier as you have to transfer to Blizzard Beach at AK anyway.

Will be there June 4-10 (was planing DL trip, but just bought DW tickets yesterday...oops), and this is something I am curious about. Not a big Avatar fan, but the videos look amazing! Not entirely sure how to plan around the opening, as we don't know for sure what affects it will have. Add to the fact, that I am taking my MIL on this trip who has never been and isn't sure on what she wants to do. All of that to say, can't wait!

This is great information! I didn't realize we had to transfer from AK to Blizzard Beach. We haven't been to the water parks since they changed the bus routes. Thank you!

We have a 2 yr old and want to tote her around in her stroller. If we brought that with us to AK in the morning and park hop to BB, would there be somewhere at BB to store the stroller while we enjoyed the water park?

I've never been to the parks in a stroller. But I know lots of people have talked about parking their strollers in stroller parking for each land before collecting it and moving on to the next land. So I imagine any of the major stroller parking locations should be pretty safe to leave your stroller for a few hours? I would probably leave it outside one of the Pandora rides as lines will likely be in the 2-3 hour range anyway so many strollers there will be parked for hours at a time.

edit: just noticed you asked about BB. I think we saw people just parking their strollers by their chairs, but not sure. I would personally choose one of those covered pavilions for shelter in case of rain.

Yes but IF APs and DVC get some preview period, which seems likely in some fashion if nothing else to get sone final testing done... then Disney has taken care of this group.

It also could be that the system crashes caused by the 30 day opening could be a lesson for them and they open it at 60. May 27 is widely publicized as the opening day. Nothing vague like just "summer."

Lots of speculation... we'll see in a few weeks if nothing else!
