Animal Kingdom Lodge

They are all on the fifth floor of Jambo House. Some are along the main drive, others might be pool or savanna view. You don't get a choice of view with Value villas. Maybe you'll be lucky.

They are on the Giraffee and Ostrich trails on the fifth floor. 2 of the studios face out towards the front Porte cochere of the resort. The rest either face the Sunset Savannah or the pool.

Thank You both for the response it is appreciated!

We did the savanna view when our DD was 2 and it was the best thing in the world. Every morning she would come running into our room and want to go see the animals. I would make coffee and sit with her on the balcony for an hour just watching animals. I honestly think that is my best Disney memory.

Buses....the buses aren't the problem, the problem is the 20 minute walk from your room to get to your bus stop. It is entirely possible to end up 1 mile away from a bus stop if you're at the far end of Kidani.

Savannah view is amazing from the sunset savannah (the main one), but if you get screwed and put on the Pembe savannah beware that they don't have mammals. Just birds. So it's a savannah view of Ostriches and ducks, but there will be no Zebra, Giraffes, or Ankole cattle.

I've been stuck on Pembe and I've had the 20 minute walk to the bus on multiple trips so I will no longer stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. There are too many good resorts without these problems to risk being screwed at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Last savanna view we had, two zebras were... "ahem"... Doing the adult mambo every morning just off our porch. It made for interesting conversation over coffee & muffins.

They don't let opposite-gender animals on the savannah at the same time to prevent this type of behavior. I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm just saying it was probably two males.

It depends on the size room you are getting, and if you have a kid with you that sleeps more than you. My husband and I loved our savanna view when we were staying in a studio with our son. When my son went to sleep early we would sit out on the balcony and watch the animals. There were tons of them every night. We were right on some orchestrated night time safari path, so the ranger would come by and plant food. The animals would come eat. And about ten minutes later the tour jeep would pass. We loved having a place to hang out with each other while my son slept. If we had a one bedroom or two bedroom it would be less important.

If you're paying for a savannah view, you might as well check the price difference of a club level room. Often they're very close to the same price. If you opt for a standard view, be sure to ask to be close to the lobby. Nine times out of ten, we've gotten a great view while booking a standard view room. Just don't quote me on that as it is a gamble!!

Is there any better Savanna to request for a 2BD Savanna view room at Jambo? I don't know if MS takes room request, but I would like one that has the best view of animals in the morning time.

We actually saw a similar thing with I forget the animal's name and they were trying to get them apart but the male just kept chasing the female. It was funny but at the same time I felt bad for her because she was running for her life from him.

I agree 100%-after being screwed on the Pembe savanna with nothing but my points gone, we will not take another chance at Kidani again.
