We are going to WDW in December 13-16 and decided to add on the 17th because we could get a better deal on plane tickets. For the 13-16th we are at the Poly but I was unable to extend our DVC rental to the 17th. My sister was really hoping we could do AKL for the last night and I was wondering if that is possible in a standard room with 4 adults and 1 5 year old. The 5 year old has a travel cot/bed so he would be fine and we would be fine sharing a room for 4 for the 1 night as adults but I wasn't sure if that was allowed under Disney's policies. Are there any reasonable (not 1 bedroom suites) at AKL that a group of 5 can stay in?

Also is it something we should just save for another time? We have a backup reservation at Pop as of now and have dinner reservations one night at Boma so we will be able to see the decorations and the lodge. Thoughts?

You won't be able to put 5 people in a regular resort room at AKL. They will only allow four people in the room due to fire code.

The smallest room you will all fit in at AKL is an AKV 1-bedroom villa (standard or savannah, but not value). It will be more than a standard AKL room, but not as much as a suite on the resort side.
