I'm adding one extra night (Friday) to our November stay and I'm thinking about Animal Kingdom Lodge since we'll be spending the last day and a half at Animal Kingdom. I've always wanted to stay there and it will be convenient to go back in the middle of the day for a few hours.

Just wondering if the Savannah view is worth the extra $$ for just one nights stay. We will be at the parks most of the day and back to AKL for evening activities. I scheduled and early PS breakfast the following morning and plan to spend half a day in AK on Saturday morning. Not much time will actually be spent in the room.

Since it gets dark so early that time of year, do you think it's worth the extra money to view the animals from your room?

This is our plan:

Nov. 14-19 VWL
Nov. 19 AKL
Nov. 20-22 Vero Beach

Opinions, please!

I don't think it would be worth the money. We had a standard view on our trip to AKL and it was fine since we don't spend much time in our room. There was a good savannah viewing area down the hall from us. If you want to see the animals, there are many public areas to do so in the resort. I'd save the dough.

F1 Julie- Thanks for replying.

I went ahead and booked. I decided on the pool view for $135. It was only $13 more than the standard "parking lot" view. I'm happy with that.
