We stayed at the AKL the first week of January. It was our first time there. We really loved it.
There was background music being played daily. I guess I should have asked while we were there but didn't think of it at the time. Does anyone know what the music is?
Thanks, M

It is traditional African music. I believe they sell CDs of traditional African music or with the sounds of Africa in the gift shop at the AKL.

I liked the music too. While I was there, I purchased a CD called

JAMBULA: The Joyful Spirit of Southern Africa by Hennie Bekker

I'm sure you can call and request this CD without having to wait til your next visit!

We also liked the music and purchased the CD. The drums drove my DS crazy though :)

I hope you realize that it is your JOB to drive ds crazy! Why else would we have kids????:p

Guest services has a booklet that describes the history of the two totem poles and Grand Canyon fireplace. In the back is a page with a listing of all the lobby music selections.

Thanks for your reply, but I believe the two totem poles and the Grand Canyon fireplace are in the lobby
of the Wilderness Lodge.
