Animal Kingdom for 50 year olds

I got there early and rushed to Africa to the safari (to beat the rush and because animals are more likely to be out earlier). I enjoyed the safari and the walk back through the nature preserve. I had a great time walking through Asia's animal area (saw Tigers!). Did the Everest ride, which was good but similar to most other roller coasters. loved the Lion King show, the "tough to be a bug" show was cute too. It was a nice leisurely alternative to the other parks. I spent about 5 hours there.

Is this a park that we will enjoy? Which attractions do you recommend for people our age? Thanks for any info!

Well, now, then, there, hummm ....

On my last solo visit to the Animal Kingdom this past March, at the ripe old age of 72, I enjoyed most of the attractions in the park. The only two I won't ride is the Kali River Rapids because I don't like to get soaked, and Dinosaur because it's what I call a "bumpy-jerkey" ride, which I don't care for. On the other hand, I loved Expedition Everest because it is what I call a "smooth coaster," and I loved it.

By the way, I'll be enjoying another solo visit to WDW soon (see below), at the even older age of 73. visiting the Animal Kingdom on Friday, Dec. I plan to include the new Nemo Musical on my itinerary this time, so I might not have time for all the rides. But you can bet that I'll be hitting Expedition Everest a couple of times.

Too old? Yeah, I reckon not!

Enjoy.
