What place would you recommend to eat counter service at Animal Kingdom? Trying to figure out if we would eat at the Rain Forrest Cafe for lunch. ( We haven't ever eaten at RFC, We have a little girl who will be 2 when we go do you think it would be to loud? ) and just eat at our hotel for supper. I would be appreciate any suggestions :) Thanks

We always eat at Flame Tree BBQ for our counter service. We really enjoy it. They have some things other than BBQ, such as a turkey sandwich that is absolutely delicious. My kids really like it here as well.

Flame Tree is one of the best and most popular counter services at AK. Just keep in mind that if you want to go to Rain Forest Café that it is a Table service and you will most likely need to make an ADR.

We tend to think that AK has the better counter service restaurants. We've eaten at flame tree several times, my girls like the yak and yeti cs. Tusker house was my fav until they changed it to a sit down. We've have even eaten at the pizzafari and enjoyed the Italian sandwich. We have never eaten at RF at animal kingdom only the one at Downtown disney. The last time I was not impressed with whatever it was that we ate. I was a little disappointed that the "rain" feature wasn't even working!

Flame Tree!! There menu is varied enough for our family and the quality is pretty consistent! Love it!:)

Another vote for Flame Tree, although we also liked Yak & Yeti counter service.

Flame Tree, yes! Honestly, we get better barbecue locally, but it still is pretty decent. And the seating area is very pleasant in nice weather, enough to keep us returning again and again.

We love the Flame Tree. HUGE portions, reasonable price, pretty good, and variety. That said, we are trying Yak and Yeti next time (no kids).

I highly recommend Flame Tree BBQ!
Plates of roast chicken, ribs, or both, with beans & coleslaw.
Delicious and filling salads
Amazing turkey sandwich with cranberry mayo, served with fruit
The fruit salad dish there looks incredible as well!

Fairly priced, lots of food, TONS of seating!

We like the Yak & Yeti CS as it is something a little different from the usual chicken, burgers, ribs, sandwiches etc.

We like Pizzafari.
Simple, reliable menu and plentiful air-conditioned seating. The lines always seem to move quickly as well.
I know Flame Tree is popular on here, but we always seem to be at AK on a hot day or in the summer and the thought of eating barbecue outside in the sweltering heat turns my stomach. :crazy2:

My family usually alternates between Flametree and Pizzafari (it just depends on whether we ate pizza for lunch at HS the day prior)

Another vote for Flame Tree.
Flame Tree > Pizzafari

I do really enjoy Tusker House and Yak and Yeti (TS, although QS is ok too) if you're willing to do TS instead.

Yak & Yeti (Anandapur Local Foods Cafe) is our favorite.

Another for Flame Tree! The food is great and the view of Everest is so nice from the lower seating area!

Another who always eats at the FTBBQ.
