Animal kingdom cost

Can anyone tell me what the cost is to buy into Animal kingdom timeshare?
I have no previous experience but would love to own here, depending on the cost. Do you pay monthly, yearly , all up front? Is there a loan if I can't afford it all right away?

The minimum purchase will come in just under $17,000 (160 points X $104) - then (assuming 160 point contract) about another $750 in yearly maintenance fees.

I think you will be able to purchase starting in March? not sure about that.

Keep your eyes open for specials- maybe they will run a promo that would knock a big chunk of change off of the buy-in price.

As there an amount that needs to be put down right off the bat, and are there closing costs? Can you use your points on a cruise? If so where do I find how many points that is?

Usually it is 10% down if you finance. If your credit isn't so hot they may require up to 50%.

Yes you can use them on cruises but the point costs to do so is pretty steep.

There are closing costs- right around $200.
You should go to this link ORDER DVC DVD
and fill out the form. You will get a really nice info pack with all points charts- including cruises.
The info will be geared toward selling Saratoga right now- but it is really educational and when they offer AKV you will know a lot about it.
