Animal Kingdom and refillable sports cup.

Can anyone tell me any information about this? I read that it was a sports cup, but not the size or anything, or if refills are available everywhere, or just certain restaurants. It sounded like a pretty decent deal. I think I read it was around $7. and $1 to refill it. Any other info would be great, even to tell me it no longer exist!.

There are refillable mugs sold at the WDW resorts that are good only at the resorts(unlimited refills for the length of stay).

I'm not recalling any park mug that can be refilled.

I knew about the resort cups (I own 20 +) of the silly things, I had read on another site that said that there is supposedly a refillable "sports bottle" . I had not ever seen any info anywhere else about this, so wondered if someone just missunderstood what it was, or if it really exist, and only at AK from what this site said.

I have one I bought last December from AK. It was $7 plus $1.99 to fill. It was a basic sports bottle with an elaborate tall animal (leopard, gorilla, tiger etc) on the lid. Very cumbersome. I may bring it back this year and see if they will sell me a new sticker to put on it for more refills. I think there is another refillable style that has $1.00 refills, but I can't remember exactly what they look like. I will say that they are not available at every beverage location. You really have to hunt for them. But they do exist.

I think we're getting two things confused.... the AKL refillable mugs and the AK Sports Cup...

I know for sure that the AKL refillable mug is $11 (we didn't get one, but I saw the signs) and is refillable at Mara only, for the length of your stay. As for the cups in the park, I have no clue: we drank water...only....from my CamelBak Pack.

One cool note along these lines: At Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, they sell refillable mugs that are sold as "One Per Family"...something like $10...but quite a great deal when you do the math. We bought one, then bought lunch and shared the mug... a little gross when the 3-year-old somehow managed to get pizza in the mug, but alas...

The refillabe drink bottles do exist. I pulled mine out of storage today and it has a sticker on it (florescent green for those who are curious LOL) and it says good for 1.00 refills (not 1.99 like I thought) on the date purchased only, Dec. 26, 2003. I did see them in June of this year, but decided I didn't need two.
