I am not sure that the extended evening hours are worth it for Animal Kingdom. Can someone who has been there for these comment on whether the animals during the safari are out and about to where you can see them in the evening?

Also does anyone know what time sundown would be the week of June 5th?

Thanks!

They do not change the animals' schedules for EMH, and all of the animal based attractions are closed at the regular park closing time. Most of Dinoland is open, as is Tough to be a Bug and at least one showing of the Lion King stage show. They may also do Tarzan, but I'm not sure about that.

It lists the safari and something else animal related as a season attraction during EMH. We plan to do EMH next week.

The Safari and Pangani Forest Trail are open for morning EMH but NOT evening EMH, unless something has changed since last week.

Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park
Mornings:
Discovery Island™ Trails (AM only), It's Tough to be a Bug!®, Kilimanjaro Safaris**, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail® (AM only)
Evenings:
Includes attractions listed above and The Boneyard®, DINOSAUR, Festival of the Lion King, Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl®, Tarzan™ Rocks!, TriceraTop Spin

** Please note that the evening Kilimanjaro Safaris offering closes at 7pm and fluctuates with daylight hours

That's great news! In January it gets dark too early (which was the first time we tried evening EMH at AK) and they weren't doing it yet this past week when we were there. We don't normally go in summer, so we probably won't get to do this often anyway, but it sounds like as long as it's light out, they'll run the animal attractions. Excellent!

We hit the EMH in the evening at AK last week and had a good time. The Safari was going until 7:00 pm - we went on a late one and the animals were out and moving more than I've ever seen.

The crowds were thinner than any other EMH we attended. The Boneyard was packed but the dino-rides were little or no wait. Not much around to eat though.

Thanks a bunch! This information really helps. I kept thinking what was the point if they weren't going to be out, but then I thought about how it would be cooler so there is a chance they will be more active.

Thanks again!
Michele
