Animal Kingdom after Close

I have a reservation for the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom for 5:15 a night that it closes at 5. Will I be able to use Disney transportation to get back to my resort that evening? I am staying at POP but plan on going to the Boardwalk that evening so I will take a bus back there. Will I have to take a taxi or will I be able to get a bus somewhere that evening after my reservation?

WDW won't leave you stranded. As long as there are guests in the park or eating in RFC, there will be buses available. Probably not individual resort buses, but you'll get there.

We'll get you to any resort you want to get to, but there might be a few extra stops on the way.

We did this in March & when we exited RFC there was a CM there to ask what resort you were going to. They put people on 1 of 2 buses that were there waiting. We had almost an hour long ride, but they did get us back!

On the flip side of this, what time do buses start running in the mornings? I have never heard a specific time (if there is one).

6:30 AM, primarily for early-early dining reservations and for behind-the-scenes tours (i.e. don't expect to stroll into a 9 AM park just because you got there at 7:30 ). That early, they run about every half hour; an hour or so before the parks open the buses start showing up every twenty minutes or so.
