Is there anything at WDW that my dd can incorporate into a "3-D Project" on "Animals and their Habitats?" She can pick any animal I think. She JUST got assigned the project for their Educational Fair and it's due the DAY we get back from WDW. What about from Sea World? We weren't planning to go there but if you know of something really great, let me know and we can consider it! TIA!

head to animal kingdom, at conservation station, they have a huge center on animals, their habitats & care there at wdw. there are interactive exhibits about animals around the world & cm's available from questions.

Are you going to Animal Kingdom? There will be a lot of "animals and their habitat" ideas there, and a cast member would be able to guide you to the best places. What grade is she in?

She is only in Kindergarten so I imagine it can be pretty basic. Does anyone know of any animals in particular there so we may do some research beforehand as we won't have much time once we get back. Just hoping to maybe pick an animal where she can maybe get pictures or pamphlets or "unique" items of some sort from her trip to add to her "exhibit."

Minmate,
If you go to the homepage of the DIS website, and click on Theme Parks, you can get to a whole section on Animal Kingdom. You can find out more about the different animals you can see in each section of the park. THere will be so many animals to choose from, your problem will be in picking one.

What a fun homework assignment!!

This may not be quite as Disney-fied, but if it were me, I'd make sure the project was done before we left for WDW. Stressing over getting a 3-D project home on the plane would make me nuts - not to mention getting DD to calm down long enough to make the darn thing in the hotel room. You could use WDW websites for pictures if she really wants WDW stuff in there....... You could pick something that she could learn about at WDW even if you make the habitat itself before you go. That way, she could talk about what she learned on her trip if the teacher asks her about her animal/habitat. Check out pages on Conservation Station for ideas on things she might be interested in learning. :wizard: :teacher:

Pezpam -- that's exactly what I'm hoping to do. I guess we are supposed to get more details tomorrow about what's expected.
