Animal Crossing Issues...

We did not buy turnips this week either because of our pending vacation. Of course if all goes to plan...:stir: we will bringing the Wii and game with us so we could have. Otherwise we will be hunting Joan before we go to the MK on Sunday!!;)

Lisa:

You don't have to take your Wii with you to WDW. Besides you want to play AC instead of going to the parks...that is just shameless . All you have to do is when you return, set the Wii clock to the last day you opened the game. Do this before you open the game. Open the game. Water flowers, pull weeds, etc. Save the game and then adjust the Wii clock up by 1 day. Open the game...repeat. The game timing is all based on the Wii calendar. I got tired of waiting for 15 days, so on day 7 I did the chores, saved, adjusted the Wii clock, opened the game, did the chores, saved, adjusted the Wii clock, etc. I think I moved up 5 days (March 12) in one day. After I saved the game I adjusted the Wii clock to the correct day for the Wii Fit. The next day, before I opened AC, I adjusted the Wii clock to the next day after I finished the last one (March 13). The 15 days flew by. I am not a patient person. :lmao:

What I would be worried about bringing the Wii on your vacation is, that what if the Wii gets damaged in the process...there goes all your work OR worse stolen. You don't need the internet to play the game. You just need it to send letters, talk to others or visit other towns.

But again it is your choice. This is just merely a suggestion. Have a great time at WDW. Hopefully the weather is great. We will see you in a week. If you meet any Disney game designers....TELL THEM WE NEED A DISNEY AC VERSION!!!!!

None of us have ever gotten a silver or gold axe. We usually don't try more than once per day (per character). I know Lovely got her axe back last time I tried, but we consider that a win, since about half the time it seems she keeps our axes. We admit that we ignore our neighbors, I'll try to be friendlier. Feng shui huh? I guess it's worth a try....how about the charm from the city - which seems pretty impossible this month. Someone from another town has to pull up a bunch of weeds - we don't have a bunch of weeds!

Hi Nancy - I'm sure we can pause Survivor and visit for a while! I tell you between reality TV and AC, my evenings just fly by! I still haven't watched this week's The Biggest Loser!!

I caught a killiefish (sp) this morning (before leaving for work). It's still in my pocket, I really don't have time to play before work, I sneak a couple of minutes in whenever possible, this game truly is an addiction.

Lisa - How long will you be away?

We are leaving at 7pm tomorrow and will be back sometime on April 11th.

Okay Melissa, now I am worried!! I didn't think about damage to the Wii. :scared1: But we are still so scared to adjust the Wii clock. I keep telling Matt what everyone says about ajusting the clock but he is still so afraid that it will ruin our town or worsek, we would lose a neighbor.

So if we don't take it with us, tomorrow will be day 9 of our perfect town....will we lose it all? Or not unless we did what you said, set the clock on 4/11 to 4/3.

You should be fine, but in case you are nervous (like I was!) go to Town Hall every "day" as you move forward and make sure they still think it is "perfect".

Have a great time!

So if we don't take it with us, tomorrow will be day 9 of our perfect town....will we lose it all? Or not unless we did what you said, set the clock on 4/11 to 4/3.

Let's say you open the game on 4/3 and do all the chores. You leave and return on 4/11. Set the Wii clock to 4/4 before you open the game. Nothing happens in the game until it is opened. Grass doesn't grow, rain doesn't fall, neighbors don't leave until you open the game. So if you set the Wii date to 4/4 the game is "tricked" into thinking that it is the next day from 4/3. IF YOU OPEN THE GAME ON 4/11 WITHOUT SETTING THE CLOCK BACK TO 4/4 FIRST, THEN YES, YOU WILL LOOSE EVERYTHING. I am not yelling, I just wanted to emphasize this point. Yes the game adjusts based on the dates when you open the game. So if you leave on 4/3 and open the game on 4/11 then the game will adjust for the time missed...flowers die, weeds grow, etc. This is why you can go back in time and nothing happens BUT if you go forward in time a lot happens.

But if you are still nervous, then take the Wii with you to calm nerves. I want you to enjoy WDW. :lmao:

Thanks for explaining it all!!! Im glad you wrote all caps, as sometimes I miss details here and there :rolleyes1

We will enjoy WDW no matter what!!!

Thanks again!!:goodvibes

Serena gave me a silver axe!!!

And thanks for all that info Melissa, I think Greg would prefer not taking our Wii with us (although we will be suffering from AC withdrawal).

And Nancy - I got to visit your town last night - it is sooo beautiful!!! A perfect little wonderland. Ian - you did a great job! I love the girls' flags :)

Congratulations!!!
I am going to go down and play now for a bit for today. It looks like we will be leaving the game home and trying the clock setting when we get home.

One last time....if we put our hybrids and Jacobs Ladder in our house, they will be okay and not die right? In the house or in the drawer?

Thanks again!!!

If you just put them in your house (houses), they'll be fine (won't need watering or anything). (not in the drawers, just in your house)

Have a GREAT vacation!!

Oh Jan, I wish I had the magic answer. I don't remember the exact questions she asked, but it's always say the nicest thing possible. and she said for being honest she'd give me a gold axe (I got excited, but that has happened before). But then she said she was out of gold, so she'd give me a silver - AND SHE DID!! I was wearing my 4-leaf clover (if that meant anything). But I was just bemoaning the fact that she hadn't given any of us (me, Greg or my alter-ego, Lovely) anything and I got lucky!!:woohoo:

Lois, how in the world did you get a 4 Leaf Clover???

And I'm curious to know about the silver fishing rod, myself. I check Nook's obsessively for it!

Gotta Get To Disney! :moped:

The clover you see on the ground are weeds, you should pull them up and if you're lucky, you'll get a 4-leaf clover to wear in your hair!

Does anyone have good turnip prices. Mine are only at 32, I can't see them taking a giant leap tomorrow....what do you think?

I bought the game Dec. 26. A few weeks later Nook was selling the silver fishing rod. I haven't seen it since.:scared1:

OK, help. How do you toss the axe into the fountain? (it is the town fountain?) I can't pick up my axe in town.

I also want the silver fishing rod. :guilty:

DD got Wisp back his magic lamp last night though. That was pretty cool.

I had to sell my turnips tonight for 37 Bells :scared: Glad I did not have TOO many! Highest price all week was Monday morning, 74! My stalk market is like the real stock market lately.........

.

Carry your axe. Stand in front of the town (not city) fountain and if I remember correctly hit the A button (someone please correct me if I am mistaken). The axe basically throws itself into the fountain.

Hi everyone!
Well we are here live at BWV and I have to say we caved at the last minute...and brought AC.:guilty: We called last minute like really last minute....7 hours before we left to drive down...and were able to get a 1BR at Boardwalk so not only did we bring the laptop, we brought the Wii. Everything is great. Matt picked a couple of weeds and saw some new flowers grew including....a new Jacobs Ladder!!!:goodvibes

So thought I would check in with everyone while we enjoy some down time b back at the room. Our drive down was outstanding, we left Phila at 7:02pm and were at Earl of Sandwich 11:40am. We went to Epcot and walked WS yesterday afternoon and today checked out of OKW and over to BW and then hit MK at 7:30am. Got some things done, I went to Publix (when Matt called to play the AC song when it was loading!) by Gaylord Palms and we went to the pool. Now we are just waiting to go to dinner in a bit while doing some wash.

God I love it here!:cloud9:
