thanks for the explaination. It sounds really fun, but also seems like i might get addicted and waste away hours? Is that about right? Maybe I shouldnt get into the game, i should be studying instead. But is sounds really fun!

Hours and hours - but a nice diversion and it's been a great bonding session between a lot of DISers. We have a whole circle of new friends and family now!

My kids love our DIS friends as much as we do and hopefully they love our kids!!! They have to listen to them during most play sessions!!!

Oh yes, I just love Zoe and Lily. Especially when Zoe visits my town and moves the flowers and shakes the trees.

Zoe unfortunately always moves flowers. When she walks me around, I never know what I'll find in my pockets.

I have just completed getting all of the exchange gifts from nooks, which you get from earning points for shopping and visiting the shop each day. I only wish that the Kart could actually be used. It would be great to drive around town.

I love this thread and have read the entire thread. I have a question that I hope I did not miss. Yesterday our Nookington's had the buy an item for 5x the points day. Well instead of paying off a majority of my basement mortage I went on a massive shopping spree and became a gold member. I thought I would at least be offered the silver fishing pole to buy, but after calling my DH we did not have it at Nookington's. How do we get it? We have checked Nook's everyday since buying the crack in the box (aka- Animal Crossings). I can't belive I didnt pay my mortage and bought 10 treasure chests at 8,500 bells a piece. All I wanted was the silver pole. Please tell me I didnt go into hock for no reason at all. I may have to call President Obama to bail me out and give me some stimulis bells. I have a cardboard box one of the characters gave me. Maybe I can live in it and start my own shanty town by the ocean

Any help would be wonderful. One of these days I have to venture out, we have Wii speak but no towns to visit.

We had a busy weekend, but we did have our gate open Saturday night. We also tried to go out, but no one was available.

Yesterday we hosted a house concert and our performer and an old friend were talking about old times, entertaining Greg and I with their stories. But that gave us no AC time AND made me miss The Amazing Race which I recorded, but my daughter tells me started late, so I probably don't even have it recorded

I was hoping to watch it tonight (sigh)....

Tomorrow we're going to see BB King. busy busy busy

LOL!!! I just bought this game on a whim at the store. I saw this thread and was curious to see what I could learn. So far I have learned that I need to open up the game and start playing! It seems like you folks are speaking a different language! Money trees, problems with penguins, golden shovels...

Strange that you would receive the fireplace and not the table. I sent both at the same time. Maybe AC is spending out the goodness. Let me know if you don't receive it. I will get another and hold on to it and deliver it in AC person. Shame about the flowers. Darn internet.

Thanks! I think I do need help... I don't get it... what am I supposed to be doing. so far i have just been fishing, digging for treasure and foraging. what else can I do? There will be a couple of mortgage expansions for you to pay...then you can work towards a 3rd bridge in your town, then a fountain and then a lighthouse or windmill (OR perhaps both!!!) get your perfect town, flea market once a month, fishing tournament once a month....what else am I missing???

I love the fishing!!!
