Animal Crossing Issues...

Lois!!!! Thank you so much for the gift!!! We are so excited to start with our kitchens!!!!:yay::yay:

When I was in perfect town status, I think I had one Jacob's Ladder show up about every 2 to 3 days. When the perfect status was over, I have had a Jacob's Ladder show up once every 4 to 5 days, depending on how the town looks.

It is interesting that I planted all the Jacob's Ladder all together and a new one shows up somewhere else. I usually find the new ones while I water all the flowers.

I am up to 9 now.....yah!!!!!

Cool!!! We can't wait to see some others pop up!!!

Okay so we can pick up any of our flowers now and replant them without anything happening correct? We just dropped them anywhere when we were working on getting perfect status! Now we want to arrange them neater so our grass will grow better. :)

Honestly, I left everything alone during the 15 day status. The only things I did was pull all the weeds, water all the flowers...daily, and added new flowers here and there. I didn't want to risk anything, since it took so long to achieve the perfect town status.

But it is totally up to you.

Now that I have the perfect town finished, I have been rearranging the flowers to help the grass grow. I have noticed that roses seem to get the grass to grow faster than the others. I could be wrong but it just seems that way. Why can't Nook sell grass seed?

I agree about hte grass seed!!! And we are not moving any of our flowers until the 15 days!! We are not messing with anything either!!!!

I move any flowers totally surrounded by grass over to the edge of the grass line trying to enlarge the grassy area. It's going to take forever, but that's my goal.

I moved several of our Jacob's Ladders so that they're on the "cliffs" on either side of our walkway down to Nooks. On each side there's also a pink rose (very pretty). Now I'm trying to decide if I put the new Jacobs Ladders there also, or put them in another area. Decisions decisions.

Poor Nancy, you go away and Ian creates an alternate universe!! :goodvibes

Hey can someone please explain this game for me? I've only hear of it once quite a while ago, but now i seem to hear about it on all different threads! It sounds cool so far, but I dont think I have the whole picture. Thanks!

Sam - welcome to our crazy bunch. I have a friend who used to work at Davis that works in the Med Center now - in Women's Health.

We're in your time zone - so you would mostly be visiting us in Gusitown.

For an intro - I would suggest going to the Animal Crossing Game web site www.animalcrossing.com and watch their video. Then go buy the game that comes with Wii Speak in the box. The extra $20 is pretty mandatory for additional fun. It will pay for itself on the first WiFi use....:lmao:

I would strongly suggest browsing this thread as you start playing to get to know us - we almost all got the game for Christmas and you will totally watch us grow with each page. As you build your town - we will be building ours with each page you read.

Get us your friend code and we will all swap and soon enough - you'll be with all of us - except Mr. "Alternative Universe" - my husband - he's in a league all his own!!!!

is this a MMO? but on the wii instead of computer? Sorry im not too familiar with the game except somehting about raising animals? Ill probably read through the thread later tonight.

You can play solo, but some of the most fun parts of the game are when you play over the internet with others.

It's not really about raising animals - more about life in general - how to work to buy things and build a bigger house, get fancy clothes, and learn things like fishing and agriculture.

All in a community where your neighbors are animals.

To expand on YellowMickeyPonchos' (Nancy), Animal Crossing is basically in the genre of the Simms. Your character does chores for the town, like pull weeds, water flowers, etc. You make money (Bells) by selling fruit or fish, or anything else you can find. You have a house that you pay off the mortgage and you buy furniture and items for it. The animals in your town are your friends and neighbors.

Playing with others over the internet through the Wii allows you to meet new people and see how others have fixed up their town. It is a new social network.

If you have any further questions, please ask, someone on the thread will have an answer.

:scared::scared: I haven't played Animal Crossing in a few months. I'm sure its going to be terrible, I really need to start playing that game again.

burning it down and starting again is an option :goodvibes

My neighbor Pippy is packed and is moving. We musn't be very good neighbors. Truth is, we (at least I) ignore them a lot. Oh well, they come, they go.
Gotta go and make sure there are no flowers planted near where a new neighbor might move to.

I just found this thread and have to ask - is this for kids or grownups or does it matter? Not the thread - the Wii game

This is hilarious!
i have never heard of this game! I kinda got the drift it is a Wi game and the last time I played boxing on this, I got tendonitis in my hand (saying I took it way to serious).

Worst thing you'll get on this game is an extra set of hip-dimples! :rotfl2:

Yay - Gwen the penguin is thinking about moving - 1 down!!!!!! Actually, I'm kind of sorry to see her go, as she had actually been a lot nicer since the Friga pitfall incidents......:rolleyes1

To answer the other question - definitely for both kids and adults. my 3 yr old loves driving the character (walking them around), catching bugs, and watering flowers - her first chores!!!!!!!:banana: The kids even tell me what they want me to buy for their houses and they both have Phineas balloon collections. My toddler Lily (age 2) is very particular about what she wants.... "BUNNY BAWOON!!!!!! ..... PANDA!!!! "

Thanks! I saw your question"remeber when everyone had one?" Guess what- we all still have our yellow ponchos! bring them every trip to WDW and it insures that it will not rain on us. The only time we forgot them, it poured a monsoon!

Fair warning - one day you will be saddened when you open your sacred ponshos up and they crack and crumple from the age of the vinyl...

oh the humanity........

You have to go to the City! During the day. You'll see him standing there holding a balloon. Talk to him. Tell him you want something - you have choices!! balloons, bubble maker, pinwheel - I LOVE my bubble maker!!

Oh, and for kids or grownups? I'm a GRANDMA!!
