Animal Crossing-City Folk

I'm starting to think I should time travel more. April was a pretty boring month bug and fish wise. I think I may jump forward to Mother's day then head to June.

I am addicted to TT, but I only do it by hours, kwim? I am afraid to lose too much stuff!

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but RL has just gotten in the way of my ACCF time. :lmao: Looks like we have a few new folks (scottlass, janjandis, glitzybabes, etc.) - welcome to the party! If you want to exchange friend codes, send me a PM with yours and I'll respond. I have to go look it all up, otherwise I'd just post it now. ;)

Sounds like a lot has been going on. I went back to "real time" because my kids asked me to. But it's boring so I'm itching to move ahead again.

Today is a bust for me (too much stuff to do around the house) but I'll probably be on tomorrow. I'll look for open gates and probably open mine for a bit, too.

Hey! I just found this thread!! We have an 85 page Animal Crossing thread over on the Podcast board and you guys beat us!! I am always time travelling so if you need winter bugs and fish you could come over to my town. I just celebrated Thanksgiving so PM me if you want to come over.

I was on most of the day with my gate open, but no one else was around. I guess you all have a life on this beautiful Saturday. I'm heading out for the night. I'll check for open gates the next time I'm on.

Mokey, Mokey, Mokey.......:sad2: You have to learn how to IGNORE the stuff that needs to be done around the house so you can come and play with us! ::yes::

LOL!! Seriously, I played wayyyyyyyyy to much this weekend and now I will pay the price as I head back to work tomorrow with a house that didn't get it's weekend cleaning, errands that didn't get run, weedy planters that still aren't planted, etc. Oh well....I did get the laundry and grocery shopping done. And caught a few hundred thousand dollars worth of fish and bugs....:rolleyes1

I only need one more fish, the napoleon fish. I have been fishing and fishing and I keep getting Sea bass, not you again is right. Anyone have any tricks for the napoleon fish?

I also only need 7 more bugs.:thumbsup2

I haven't been playing too much lately, but I did spend about 2 hours on Thursday and Friday moving around all our flowers to the correct positions for hybrids. It worked! We have a bunch of hybrids now! Do the flowers keep producing more hybrids if they already produced one? I would imagine so, but just wondering!

Wow, you had a good fishing weekend! I think I still need about 9 more fishand tons of bugs. I did get my gold watering can, so I need to do some reorganizing of my town now :cool1:

Darn sea bass!!!! Argh! I don't know if I have caught that fish. I will have to check and see. I don't have any tips, sorry. I will let you know if I find some...

I have had hybrids produce other hybrids. Any tips you want to share with us??

Well done! I've found that they will produce more than 1 hybrid per spot. Sometimes I remove the hybrid and leave the original and that helps as well.

Glitzybabes, to grow hybrids, you need to plant two flowers next to each other. Way back on pg 58 of this thread, Scurvy posted a link to a great guide that says what needs to be planted together in order to produce hybrids. Here's that post: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2043780&page=58
And here's the link given: http://axa-cityfolk.com/wii_flowers.php

I have every hybrid except for the orange cosmos and the carnations (waiting to get the ones in June for that). The biggest trick I've found is that once you've planted your flowers next to each other you MUST water every single day.

I currently have all of my hybrids in my basement because I'm thinking about jumping ahead in time to June or July. Still undecided about it, though. My DD's birthday is in May and I know she wants to play on her birthday to see if the neighbors give her anything. So I may wait and do it later.

Great! I just used the wiki and planted 2 or 3 correct colors near each other and tried not to run over them!

Thats great!! Congrats on your hybrids!! Can you post any pictures?? :)

I will try to remember to take some today when I play. I have to grade papers and enter grades...stupid real life getting in the way of Animal Crossing! ;)

Thanks!

I used this website. http://accf.wikispaces.com/Flowers

It took me at least two hours (probably more) to pick up all our flowers and rearrange them so they would be in the correct combination's. I found when I put between 2-4 correct colors next to each other, they produced hybrids.

Make sure you water them!

Excellent. I was hoping if I moved the hybrid, it would produce another one. Thanks!

I got a birthday cake on my birthday from a town animal. It's still sitting on my table!

Yesterday I finally got a perfect town rating!:banana:

I didn't follow any of the set patterns. I did "walk" the town and figure out in general where my 16x16 plots were. Then, I went by Pelly's comments. I planted tons of flowers for about a week. I tried to put about 8 in each general area. Then, I did cut down 3 trees in areas that looked too forested. I kept planting flowers until she stopped telling me I needed more greenery and I got the perfect town.

It really wasn't much work as I took a low-key approach.

Now to keep it this way for 15 days...
