Matt is fishing right now and has said 8 zillion times how nice your town is. We are so jealous. We love the set up of your town. And how many hybrids you have and all the grass. How did you do it!!! And do you go on each day and water alllllll those flowers??? Your town tune is driving him crazy....is it a Hannah Montana song??

Heh heh - out town tune is actually Chim Chim Cheree. My DS and I worked on it and got it as close as we could.

Thanks for the compliments on our town. It reeeeeeeeeealy helped knowing what to do and what to avoid when we started the town over again.

When we got back from the party I noticed that we had lost internet connection. Was Matt able to save everything?

I'll add your new stuff tomorrow. When we started our town again, I kept deleting and starting over until we got the layout and the gate we wanted. So I can totally understand what you're saying!

I haven't had my gates open all the times I've played recently because I'm trying to catch the tarantula and scorpion. I've seen quite a few, but they always bite me. *sigh* Is there a trick to the timing? Should I run away first and then turn around, or run AT them, or...? Usually they just surprise me and scare the @#$%^&* out of me, but now and then I've actually had time to get ready - and they STILL get me. Help?

if you have the king tut mask, wear that while hunting the scorpion.... it didn't react to the net when I was wearing it, so I could walk right up and nab it...

tarantula is just timing.... it'll run at you if you have the net out, but won't react if you don't... so don't walk around holding your net... wait until you see it and try to position yourself so you can pull the net out and get a clear shot at it....

(they put on a good show in the museum once you get 'em both)

Turnips selling for 421 in my town right now! I set the clock back to 12:30 (it's 4:30 CT now) and we have the Nooks that's open late so it should be good for a while. I've left the gate open for anyone looking to make some bells. I've got to go to a band concert, so no playing for me right now, but maybe I can hop on later.

Yeah....so....ummmm...we got a new neighbor. Elmer. Not quite sure where he is from but his catchphrase.....lets just say not kid friendly at all. They got VERY creative using a PH if that gives you any indication what the phrase is. So not knowing how to change it and so other neighbors don't saying it too....how can I get him out of town QUICK???? Seriously I am so annoyed right now.

Hmmm. What if you log in as each of the people characters and have each one go to town hall to complain about Elmer? I heard in the past that someone had good luck with this; it didn't work for us (not the same reason, but a neighbor we didn't like), but we only used 1 or 2 of our people to complain. Worth a try.

We agree with the town hall complaints. We have not had the need to do this, but can't think of anything else (create more characters if you have to).

Elmer used to be in our town and was not a problem.

The only other option may be to make the character's life miserable (thereby ruining your karma) by pushing, using pitfall seeds, etc. in hope of speeding up a move. Need some help?

Another thought: stash the disc away so the kids can't play it until the problem is gone. (You've probably already done this.)

And be very friendly with all the animals in your town so they're most likely to ask you for help with a new catch phrase?

You could rebuild your town, too, which we're doing soon, but that's pretty drastic.

We did have all our charactrs complain. I'm just annoyed as it was Matt while playing it "Mom.....isn't that a bad word?" I couldn't believe it but the town of Baldur or where ever he came from got through any sensors. We are only hoping there are a lot of animals in other towns saying "Go Phillies" since that's what we use LOL! Now we have Elmer telling us well I don't want to get in trouble on the boards but "off" with a few lettersin front.

Yes! We were never there. Is that the only way they move into your town is from a town that you visited? After Matt and I went on to complain about him we said "being rude" and then signed on as my DH who had to kill some cockroaches first he went and talked to Elmer and he did not say it he kept saying "Woo Hoo" so I wonder if because we said being rude it changed? I know its only a game, but its a game that we have enjoyed playing almost everyday for a year and Matt does not want to restart the game so hopefully he will decide to move out! Plus his house was put down right in the middle of the Phillies "P" that we made out of red and white tulips LOL!
