Hey everyone, I'm still around.....but been so busy that i havent play ACCF

Going to be weeding my town this week so hopefully to back in business soon.

Does anyone remember how much you have to donate for the fountain? I already have the bridge and I donated another 300,000 about a week ago (game time) and Pelly hasn't mentioned anything about it.

I'm starting to wonder if our disc is bad. No one has seen the Balloon man, we've planted a few 30k to grow trees (where an existing tree was) and gotten no money tree, and we have never gotten Nintendo Mail.

No grant it the game is only in April, but we got it for x-mas '08 (yeah, we set the date when we play, but have played everyday.) We haven't played much in awhile, once summer arrives we are outside more, but now that it is getting cool again I'm sure play time will pick back up. Just frustrating when we hear about all this cool stuff and never see/get any of it.

I have also learned a lot regarding getting a perfect town score, and think it might be easier to start from fresh.

Sounds like a plan! I'm kinda bored with it, I still play every day for a short period of time, dh plays more diligently. I just water and weed. It seems like now the grass has gone into its fall mode, I'm finding weeds easier. for a while we didn't get any new Jacobs ladders and in the last 2 or 3 days, we got 2 so the weeds must have been there, I just didn't see them.

We've had the same neighbors for a long time now too.

Unless, of course your friend is actually another character in your current Animal Crossing town.

LOL...no. I am taking a few items and all my bells to her town before I restart, then I am going to wifi back after I get my new friend code to collect them.

Kids are sick, so I will update this weekend on how it went. I am actually quite excited about it, lol.

No, it's not crazy at all. I think losing all our game data was a blessing in disguise. I was right where you are - kind of getting really bored with the game. Like parrotheadlois, all I was doing was watering and weeding daily. Starting over has made the game fresh again. None of us really plays it as much as when we first got it, but now at least we feel like we have a goal. But yeah, stash as much stuff as you can before you reset - golden tools, bells, paintings, furniture, whatever!

Getting Nintendo mail depends on the actual real calendar date, not your ACCF date. For instance, last week (October 1 IRL) we got the Nintendo mail even though it was June in my town. You have to play on the IRL date to get the mail, if that makes sense.

I think the game can be "buggy" about some stuff. In our old game, we almost never saw Phineas in town. And we never EVER saw Gulliver (the space ship in the sky). But since restarting, we've seen Phineas at least once a week. In my other town, black roses grew like weeds and in this one I can get one to sprout no matter how many red roses I put together. So I don't think the events are as random as they're supposed to be.

Thanks for the info! We've never seen Gulliver either (since we had no idea about him until you mentioned it ). We only had one rose hybrid and it disappeared (I did water it with the silver can) one day.

I think it would be fun to start over now knowing all the tricks! I think my son would scream at the suggestion but once we catch our last 2 fish that we need, the only things that we will have to look forward to are the events that happened before we started playing the game (end of January).

I would just want to send our hybrids to another town so that at least we could start off with them. We have several roses that we need..I think orange, blue and purple maybe. And we would send our shovel, fishing rods and watering can. OH and Fang. Our precious Fang. We would be devistated if we lost him.

As for our least favorite....Matt is pretty annoyed with Olivia still because she took the last fishing tournament from him at the last minute LOL!!! He thought he had it in the bag and then the next morning saw the board and Olivia snagged right out from under him!

There are a couple that have freaky eyes..Biskit and Ruby are the ones we do not want LOL. At least we would try to run them out of town!

Sally's been around quite a while. I know I visited another town once and they had the same character as us, so there can be more than one (I don't remember whose town).

Blanca (the cat with no face) visited us. She had the pumpkin face Matt gave her, I just added a stem or something to make her happy, but left Matt's pumpkin face as it was

We've got Queenie, who is pretty cool. I had to look her up, though, because I couldn't figure out WHAT she was. Turns out she's an ostrich We also really liked Rhonda, but she moved. I'm not a big fan of Monty the weird looking little monkey.

Tutu just moved out of town so we should be getting someone new in the next few days. I just hope they don't plop their house down on my hybrids!

If a character moves out, I run around trying to move all my hybrids that are near signs! Poor Katie, so sad....
