Have a good weekend everyone. I'll probably jump on one more time in about an hour then that is it until Sunday afternoon. For the only time of the year (including Disney trips) I will be cut off from the net. No cell phone, no text messages, no posting pictures, no nothing. We are going to a ski house in the Catskills for the weekend that is in the dark ages (although they do have cable and a DVD player).

Now I know I can hear the bawling from OK to OH to MI to western PA to NH to RI to MD (and the UK in between). Please try to contain yourselves.

Here's some suggestions of what to do while I'm gone:

Try pickles and maple syrup - I hear it's great!

Practice your clarinet

Move to NH

Take the dogs out in the below zero weather (see the riddle thread)

Make fun of Alan (hey, why the hell not?)

Call America's Most Wanted and ask for Donna Sue

Build a Log Cabin

Watch NASCAR - NOT

Hope the boards go down again so you won't feel like you're missing any of the fun with your friends. Hey wait a minute that last one is for me......

OMG, the squirrel was in her closet? Yikes! I had my own squirrel adventure a while back, while housesitting for my mother. I always liked the little critters, but I've been a little hesitant ever since the incident.

Have fun Lou. We won't get into much trouble! And thanks for the permission to make fun of Alan. I'm sure he will appreciate it. Other than running out the dogs in frigid, but not subzero, temperatures. I think I'll pass on the other suggestions.

Yay! It's the weekend. I'm getting ready to fix Swiss Steak for dinner and precook part of Saturday's dinner as a shortcut. I've had a headache all day. I think I'll go take something and see if I can get it to go away.

That would be me. The temperature has gone up to a whopping 0. I dont even want to know what the wind chill is.
Since I had to go to a party planning meeting, Sam and I ended up running a few errands in the cold. No great deals, but i picked up a couple new scrapbook magazines so I have something to read tonight.
DH is out with the guys, so Sam and I had a pizza delivered for dinner.
I have clothes in the washer and dryer. Just waiting for my pj's to dry so I can get under my blanket and start reading.
Mom is coming over tomorrow, she wants to hit my Kohls since she has already picked through the deals at her stores. We will probably have lunch, then I need to get to work.

Gail, glad to hear that your FIL is improving ... hope he doesn't have to spend too much time recuperating in the nursing home .... best wishes for MIL too....... and hugs for you and your family as you see them both through it !

LK, you bowl and play the clarinet too ?? I still have my old clarinet, but I don't think it would sound very good w/o a major overhaul ....... have fun in the community band !

I was told I should drop by and see what what happing over here after I answered Thursday's bonus question on the riddle thread.(I got one of the very cool dancing chickens! ) I here it is alot of fun here and I'm missing out on the party!! So HI everyone!!! I'm just going to jump in here without any idea what's happening since I don't see me reading a zillion back pages. My attention span is too short for that!!
It is a whole 4 degrees here without the wind chill factored in. Ughhhh I just remembered I didn't bring in the bag with my new sweats in it!!!! I have my "official" first workout in the morning!!
Well better go feed the starving kitty's and get the frozen sweats from the car.

Hi Carolyn! We don't know what is going on half the time either, so you'll fit right in.

My DS has a swim meet tomorrow, so we have to get up early on a Saturday to send him off.

My head is still hurting and my neck has tightened up. I think I'll head to bed early tonight. I'll check in tomorrow and hopefully feel a little more like myself.

Finally home....what a long day!!! EB & I just got home....Lew, Matt & MIL are settled in at the apartment. Had to do some shopping for her so that's what made it so late.

There was a message from the nursing home when I got home, FIL had arrived safely and wanted us to know. SIL & BIL were headed up to see him, we'll do that tomorrow.

I'll be gone early so I may not get a chance to check-in. EB has a soccer playoff game in the morning...and tryouts for the spring session in the afternoon. We'll connect with our guys along the way and also plan to visit FIL.

Don't ask me about the unfolded clothes in the basement...the dirty clothes in the hamper....and the dust bunnies reproducing throughout my house!

A quick chuckle before I crash. There was also a message for me when I got home from a friend. She was calling me from Miami as she was about to board a cruise ship. Most of her husband's family is taking a cruise together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the sisters. (Gee, did I marry into the wrong family!!!) Anyway, she was calling me to ask if I could tape Survivor for her because she forgot to set her vcr before they left RI!!!!! Now there's true, blue fan.

We love more company. MP is correct, we don't always know what's going on, but we don't mind.

Up at 6 again with the dogs. They went out at 4:30 and had breakfast when they came in, but they were trying their hardest to get Pete to give them another milk bone. They are little stinkers!

Gonna try to get my car inspected and put the NH plates on, don't know how I will do the front one, as I don't have a frame. I think I need to go to WDW and buy one? Pete needs to get the oil changed in the van, then we may do the grocery shopping today so as not to interfere with the game tomorrow.

won't be around much today, but wanted to welcome Carolyn, and check up on the nasty rumors about Lou and Alan

Marsha, stil waiting for your to take care of the rat/chipmunk/squirrel (whatever it is/was) problem we seem to have. BTW it wasn't acutally in her closet, that's just where we could smell it. Seems it must have got in through the eves and died in the attic. Anyone know of any good ways to make sure it doesn't happen again??????

I have an update on the missing MaryJo. I saw her last night at a home party. She's been bitten by the Scrapbooking bug real bad!
She said she's hardly been on the computer since this has happened. We've made plans to go to the scrapbooking store up on Rt. 8.
We're also making tentive plans on a girl's trip to the world in October! (If she can sneak away without the girls having a fit)
