one last word of advice before I trundle off to bed...if by chance, you happen to buy a new electric knife because your old one that you've had since before you were married, died......please remember it's probably a LOT sharper than the one you just threw away.....::yes:: No major damage.....just going to have to practice thumping the spacebar with my left thumb for a spell. ;)

Night all! See you in the morning.

Brian
OUCH!! Sorry about that Brian~I'll hope it will heal quickly.

It takes awhile but eventually you'll all come around.....
Somehow that fightens me...............:worried:

Marsha~I'm glad that you got it fixed!!!

We are supposed to get 7-12 inches in the next 48 hours..........
how many more days til FLorida?????

I know you're all sick to death of it.....but i can't wait for it to snow here, we're supposed to get some this week.

Hoping for snow when I come to New York next week...... i love the snow :cool1:

To Be Honest~I don't really hate snow......I'm mostly sick of the ccccccold weather. Windchills below 0 are really getting on my last nerve! If we could have snow & temps in the 20s I wouldn't be complaining.

Good morning all, they had school closings all over the place and we are supposedly under a level 2 snow emergency, but I took a look at the roads and they looked better than Friday so I made it in to work today... really wasn't bad at all, but it just had started to rain so I know that is going to turn to ice in a short while. It is supposed to warm up today (above freezing even) so I figured I might as well come on in while I can ;)

Marsha, glad you got your furnace fixed!!!!

Let's go Gail!!! I'm ready to move way south of here ;)

Lars, I am kind of the opposite of you. It's not the biting cold that ever gets to me, it is just when it is so dreary and gray outside. I hate dealing with snow and I don't like it when the sun hides for days. It can be freezing but sunny and I am happy!!!

Camilla, enjoy your snow!!! I know there were years in a row we didn't get much (just cold weather) and I missed it... now I wish I had shut my mouth ;)

Anyway, I hope you all have wonderful days!!!

I'm, ready to move today too. We have had fairly mild winters the past 4-5 years, so now when we get a "mornal" one, it is too much for most of us! Besides, I slipped on the ice yesterday, and I WANT WARM!!

gotta love that QUOTE button!

Morning Angels.
Moving slow here today...not much on the agenda than putting away the boys camping stuff (HMMMM....me thinks they should do THAT themselves)

It's only 7:00, but I'm stumped for what to have for dinner. Roast beef last night was very good, and I have a ton of leftovers, any suggestions?

Can you shred it up & put it in the crock with BBQ sauce? Eat it on buns...............

or make hot beef sandwiches....................yummy with pashed potatoes & gravy..........

or french dip sandwiches................

...........and you won't eat pickles and sugar on snow!

Morning Angels and TWM!

E - be safe driving home today!

Lars - you are full of Larsish talk today! fightens me, pashed potatoes...........:teeth:

Steph - I say make the boys put the stuff away!

Brian - hope your thumb heals and don't get blood on the keyboard!

DS has a 2 hr delay so I am waiting for him to wake up to tell him the good news, being cancelled would have been better though.

No school here today. It looks like SB's district is the only one with a delay.

Lenny called a little while ago to let me know he made it into work ok. He said the major roads aren't too bad, but it is starting the freezing rain right now. Guess I need to get that driveway shoveled soon before I have a 3 inch sheet of ice.

Brian - hope your thumb heals quickly!

I think I might make stir fry for dinner tonight. If only I could make fried rice as tasty as the kind at Benihana's, I'd be all set!

Our newest Angel is coming across the pond.

We need details, maybe there is an Angel meet somehow. Tell us all!!!! Camilla, if you don't want to post here, just PM me. SPB999 get's into the city often. I am about 3 hours drive away, Gail is also close. It would be very fun to get together.

OK, it's 5 degree right now, Pete left for CT this morning, had to go see some Ice Rink. Just a day trip. I may make turkey for dinner. With pashed potatoes. I haven't had them, but they sound yummy. Something warm will be good. The poor furnace can't keep up with the cold that comes through the floors. I have my very heavy fur lined learhter jacket over my shoulders, guess today will be a many, many layers day.

Stephanie, if you wait for the boys to put the stuff away, it may be a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.
More coffee is needed, it hardly stays warm in the mug!

An Angel meet would be fun......unfortunately I don't think we'd have time......we've got 2 sets of friends to see while we're there and we're only over for a few days.

Any tips on what to do would be appreciated though

:happy1:

A quick hi before I start work. The snow should be with us either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Great timing to mess up travel since even though they might cancel school I'll still have to work.

I'm kind of unsettled today. I don't feel we know enough about FIL's condition, it's tough when you're admitted over the weekend. Other, related problems with different family members aren't helping either.

Looks like a busy day today....probably can't check in until later this afternoon. Stay warm and safe everyone.

Hey Marsha (or Lars if you come out hiding)

I can't find the recipe for pashed potatoes....can I use the pashed motatoes recipe with the same results????

Okay, have I got this right?

You people eat pashed potatoes, pickles and maple syrup?

For sport you like to run around neighborhoods in various states of undress and break into your own houses?

At least someone's family is trying to be told by God that they may not have picked the right church after all? ;)

There are neighborhoods up there where people do group laundry? A lady got in trouble in North Alabama for that last year!

I'm starting to suspect that may be the real purpose behind some of these "bowling leagues" as well...you little gutterminds.....

I can find some of you hanging around on racks at the Mean Mom store?

And you want to bring these habits with you when you move down South where we have had warm temperatures and light rain all weekend?

Cool!

Good morning everyone.

We got about 5 inches OF SNOW last night. Now it is supposed to sleet and freezing rain.

I want the recipe for pashed potatoes. I am always looking for a new way to serve potatoes.

Off to make some waffles. I love a big hot breakfast when there is time in the morning.

:wave2: ok, here we go, 6 pages of catch up

hope FIL feels better soon
stay warm
:rotfl:
:goodvibes:
:earseek:

Does that cover it?

As for me, I didnt have to work on Saturday, so we wandered around the book store and I finally found the Hidden Mickey book. Sam is totally into them, so I might use some of the scavenger hunt ideas when we go down there in March.
I was on call at TDS yesterday, but didnt have to work. I did still have to go to the store to buy Disney Dollars for Sam's allowance. We wandered the mall for a bit, where I found a great robe on clearance.
Last night I had to work at the scrapbook store doing inventory so I ended up missing the Golden Globes. Im actually more annoyed I had to miss catty Joan and Melissa on the red carpet.
Its cold and snowy here, but not as bad as some of you have it. 19 with a windchill of about 10, and light snow starting.
OK, now I am off to find the riddle then I have to do something about cleaning this house.
Have a good day

pm sent

Nah, my wife had that stuff done so I didn't have to....

BTW, I think you meant for that message to be on the riddle thread instead of this one didn't you?
