Well, our furnace crapped out about on hour ago. We have a call in to some HVAC Repair. In the mean time, our landlord conveieniently neglected to give us her home TN, she will be getting a very polite phone call tomorrow. Did I even tell you all how much I hate this house? Pete is trying to figure out if there is something simple to fix, but he is not inclined toward furnace fixung at all. And as we got the oil tank filled on Monday, I know we are not out of oil. I can not wait to get into the brand new house with the brand new gas furnace with a WARRANTY. And why do appliances only break when you have to have anemenergency repair. What ever happened to 11am on Wednesday?

At least the flannel sheets are washed, dried and back on the bed. If it ever warms up, there could be real laundry in my future, or NOT!!!!

MP, sorry Amy tripped. Unless it was the work of the devil, I would have a flooring contractor fix the tile before someone gets hurt.

Carol!!!!! We did the laundry in public before the movers got here, it sure is fun!!!

All you Pittsburgers, please do not asend your snow here. We have an election on Tuesday, we need to get everyone out to vote, even you Ms Republican!

I am not doing well to catch up. I have missed many, and for that I am sorely sorry. I will trust Lou to do it properly, he is very good at it.

Think I will go put on a hat, it is now 58 and dropping rapidly.

Pittsburghers (or is it Pittsburgers?) - Can you please keep us posted on your weather tomorrow? Lew's boss is supposed to fly in tomorrow night and I think the weather may give him some problems getting there.

Not too much time for catchup but hi to everyone!

We visited FIL today. He still has a long way to go to feel better but his cough isn't as bad as it was yesterday and he seems to have a bit more strength. He's eating well but says he still can't sleep. I suspect he's dozing more than he realizes.

Lou - I can't believe I am actually saying this, but I agree w/ you about the syrup and pickle - Yuck!

Gail - Brendan's school already has a 2 hr delay for tomorrow. The roads are covered and it doesn't look good.
Glad to hear FIL is feeling better.

Marsha - hope you get your furnace fixed soon - try to find things to do to keep you warm

MP - maybe they will find a special place for your family to sit at church so no one gets hurt

E - be careful going to work tomorrow if you get this wonderful weather.

DH got takeout from Houlihan's tonight and stopped at McD's for the kids. McD's has the cool Lilo and Stitch giveaways.

The snow didn't start falling here until about an hour ago. We were supposed to have a dinner at church this afternoon at 3, but our priest mentioned this morning that they were postponing it.

We had a nice lazy day today, after church and CCD in the morning. I took a long nap, and then we watched Nemo after dinner.

Sorry, Steph, I like pickles, but I must say that doesn't look appealing at all. I'll have to take your word on it!

SB, I am surprised they posted a delay for Brendan already. Nothing yet here, but I am assuming they will have at least a delay tomorrow. Gail, we'll keep you updated you on tomorrow's weather.

I was absolutely horrible at bowling last night. I didn't even break 100 on my last game. They would have been better off using my average less 10% if I had stayed home. Oh well, it was still fun to get out of the house.

I am not sure if I will go to work tomorrow. I don't mind snow but if there is ice I more likely won't bother. I just don't like ice. We have already gotten about 4 inches today I am told (not sure though) and it is supposed to get up to 7... I don't want this stuff!!! I need to move south!

Well, the furnace guy came. He first found that the fuel filter was completly clogged, it had not been looked at since 02. Then he found the transformer was about shot, so he changed that out. So much for the landlord having everything in "good repair". The good news tho is that it was only 190.00. I could not believe it, the guy does not charge any extra no matter when he he has to show up. I must say that everyone (except for the land lord) that we have come in contact with has been awfully nice.

Please keep the snow there, where ever there is! (MD, OH, PA, etc.)

Gail, glad that FIL is feeling some better. You are right, he probably isn't aware of the cat naps induced by codene cough syrup, etc.

I am not sure about the pickles and syrup, but nothing beats Tostitos and Chocolate. I may have to try the old family recipe, Stephanie.

Everyone have a warm and cozy night. I have done the 9:30 dog duty, I wish Max would learn to hold it all night, Sadie is getting better at it. So if I have to get up and out at 11:30 and 1am, I'll wave to the south and west!

and to everyone else, stay warm, good thoughts and one last word of advice before I trundle off to bed...if by chance, you happen to buy a new electric knife because your old one that you've had since before you were married, died......please remember it's probably a LOT sharper than the one you just threw away..... No major damage.....just going to have to practice thumping the spacebar with my left thumb for a spell.
