Dinner for us was leftover chili.

SSB, please turn your heat up really high and heat up Florida before I come! Although anything beats 12 degrees!

have a good day everyone!

Morning all, cold & sleepy here... can I go back to bed? I was even dreaming about WDW and I awoke in my heavenly bed... such a disappointment when I didn't really sleep in one :p

Merry, just had to ask, what makes you think I knew a few things about PotC anyway? ;)

SSB, I hope it warms up there for you!!! And to think when I heard the temps in Florida, they sounded excellent to me :o ;)

Good morning all... all this food talk has me hungry

When I drove the twins to school it was 6 degreees~~~6 brrrrrrrr....imagine what the wnd chill is............brrrrrrrrrr

Good cold morning everyone.

At least our cold is only 23º with a wind chill of 12º.

We are having chicken noodle soup, salad and biscuits for dinner tonight. I need some warm comfort food. And something that can be reheated. DS starts tennis lessons tonight, 6 - 7:30, such a convenient time. It will be a real rush to get home in time for Survivor when it returns.

I got to sleep late, and when I turned on this computer, the temp says 3!!!! High today of 9. I had to put Sadie in her fleece to go out. She had not had that experience yet, and it was a tad confusing. Now we are back inside, trying to keep warm.

Last nights dinner was Freshetta Supreme, I took a preseasoned pork roast out of the freezer, but I have no idea where my slow cooker is. So it stayed in the package, and didn't thaw all the way anyhow. Guess I will be putting it in the oven later. Pete won't be home till at least 8pm, he has a 5 to 7 moisture meter demo to attend. He is liking his job, just not liking to drive to Boston, no parking! He had to go there yesterday, someone else drove tho, he was happy about that.

Time to make breakfast and find the riddle. See you all in a bit.

Did they miss the bus again???? I'd be happy to give them a wakeup call every morning...and I'm sure some fellow angels will do the same! :p

Marsha, I had a leftover pork roast last night; I hope your gets thawed out! I even ate Brussel Sprouts; do I get a reward for being a good boy? :p

Don't even go there y'all; there is just no challenge in it.

Mrs. AA's guide dog Winston was sick last night when we took him out the last time and he had an accident on our carpet at 5:00 this morning which is something he has never done.

He is at the vets being checked out right now. It's probably something he found in the yard and ate, but we take no risks with him.

Lela asked if he was going to die, because our cat had similar symptoms when I last took her to the vet and we had to put her down due to cancer. :( I assured Lela that dogs get tummy aches and viruses just like people and he will probably be fine.

Now to end on an upper note:

Happy Birthday Sandy!!! (or was it yesterday? I get so bumfuzzeled.....)

/
I'm not touching his bum either!

The younger LK's missed the bus again. I decided that I wasn't going to holler at them every two minutes to get ready. Hopefully this will get them (especially Leah!) moving quicker in the morning.

Alan - hoping Winston is feeling better!

Lars - is that becoming a daily chore for you to drive them to school?!

Carol - Survivor will be here shortly! When are they naming the survivors?

Not as cold here today - thank goodness.

I don't think bumfuzzled necessarily means fuzzy bummed

I have a fuzzy face this Winter though.....Wait a minute! What exactly are y'all trying to say? :p

I thought the morning riddle was for waking up the twins???

Ooops, sorry, wrong twins. ;)

Happy Birthday Sandy! While I haven't harrassed you yet, you too will learn to shudder when I post.

Alan, hope all is well with Winston. We've had that happen as well so I'm sure everything will be fine.

Alan, our neighbor's dog is named Winston. It's a small world. Hope your Winston is feeling better soon. And fuzzy bums are nothing to be ashamed of. We love you anyway. :teeth:

If your kids like yogurt, try what Amy's occupational therapist suggested. She said to give Amy a thick fruit smoothy or a thing of yogurt with a straw for breakfast. It's amazing how much working to get the think stuff through the straw wakes you up. Might not sound too appealing while it is so cold, but keep it in mind. She was full of ideas about getting to the place where you aren't feeling like a couch potato or feeling hyper, but sort of centered. It works. You just have to find what gets you to that place.

Now Amy is usually awake and moving. She's just getting to that teenage, taking too long in the bathroom stage. I don't really have an answer for that one. I drive her to school, so I decided this year to quit yelling. I just tell her if she is not ready, she'll go as she is when it's time to go.

It's warmer here today. It's just above freezing. It feels like spring after the weather we've been having. I'm on my last day of medicine and I'm feeling better. Still coughing, but that is not tight like it was a few days ago.

I better head for the riddle. I'll check back later.

I don't think I even bother looking at the temps much anymore. If I go out and freeze, I'll change to my down coat, until I'll be happy in my ignorant bliss with the temps :p

I hope Winston is feeling better soon! And Alan, you just made me feels worlds better about using the word "confuzzled" then :teeth:

I think my mom had a wonderful way of making sure I would catch the bus.. she threatened not to take me and I'd have to walk. For some kids I am sure that sounds like a dream, but staying home with her was not a fun thing at all. No games, no TV... nothing. The only time she took me in was when the bus came 15 minutes early and it pulled away as I began the walk down the street. She figured that wasn't my fault :)

Morning Angels and assorted beastly creatures.

Yes, it's cold here....no, I'm NOT going to the dump today.....I'm waiting til springtime!!! Bought fuel oil yesterday though....1.45 and going up...ugh.....

Happy Belated birthday Sandy.
Hey, today is the day Ranatra's son comes home, right???? Congrats Sandi!!!

Alan, hope that Winston is okay. My DP (dear-puppy), Hunny hasn't ventured outside yet today.....but I'm thinking the time must be near....

No tacos for us last night, pizza, it was a scout night, and committee meeting night.....only about 10 minutes between the two for dinner...no clue if anyone actually did their homework :o

Just started chicken corn chowder in the crock pot.....I'm with Carol, it's a comfort food day today.....lucky for me, this recipe is only 3 points a serving!!!!

Have a wonderful and warm day everyone!

Oh yeah,

forgot to add...the secret to getting my "pre-teen" on the bus in a timely fashion...is the threat of having DAD drop him off at school!!!!!

Jr. High is 30 minutes away, and "sorta" on dad's way....so if he misses the bus, he can ride with dad for some quality time

Steph, I was thinking the same thing about Sandi today! I hope they have a wonderful reunion!!!

All this comfort food sounds great... my idea of comfort is snuggled in bed... so hard to cook and do that at the same time. ANnyone have any left overs the want to send my wa?

Sorry E, no leftovers, but you are welcome to come over for spaghetti and meatballs!

that if you burn a coconut cake yankee candle, it makes you crave treats?

The plumbers are here, and not tooooo happy about working in the cold cellar. Not my problem!!! At least I will be able to do the wash again soon. Who knows, maybe even laundry.......
