Actually, there were times as a teacher that I would have considered Sam's plan. ;) That's cute. You should put that in your scrapbook.

We found that dressing the part for the murder mystery makes it even more fun. In our case we didn't wear complete costumes, just hats and props. It was hysterical.

I'm worn out today. I stayed up until 1:00 talking to my cousin. This hasn't been a terrific fall for their family. Her dad, my uncle, is the one that just passed away, so she's dealing with all of that. About 6 years ago, her husband cheated on her and they ended up getting a divorce. The last few years, he's been back in the picture and she finally took him back. He admitted he'd made a mistake and was sorry. Since my uncle died my cousin found out he's started another relationship with a new woman. She found a letter that the woman had written him and they've been talking on the cell. The letter said that even though she loves her husband and children, she'd welcome a secret sexual relationship with my cousin's husband. So my cousin has kicked him out again. She's bigger than I am. I'd have had trouble forgiving him the first time. And of course the three kids (ages 7 to 15) are in turmoil. What is wrong with people like this? I'd like to smack him!

Bethany - OMG I love Sam's solution!

E - love ya too!

MP - what a horrible thing for your cousin to go through. good thing she kicked him out again. i agree that it is awful for the kids.

I'm tired and I wanna go home!!!!!!!!

Missy, what an awful thing for a family to go through... you are sweet to be there to help her through too.

Hello....all.

I will just say....nice pictures! :rolleyes1 and leave it at that!

Went to the outlets today. I am searching for a dress for a wedding and my 20 year high school reunion. I can't believe how difficult it is to find a dress! No luck again today! Although.....I really did find one......it was red wine colored satin, vneck with flouncy skirt......looked fabulous.....sigh.......$329 ....I just couldnt spend the money on it! Shouldnt even have tried it on.....it was just so pretty I had to! Of course it fit and looked wonderful!!!! (and I NEVER say anything looks wonderful on me! ).

Got some fabulous deals on kids stuff so I bought lots of that.

but still no dress! :( .............I can't wear any of my old ones either.....they are all too big! sigh!

BTW...I too have hosted several mystery dinners. They are very fun! I got a disco one for Christmas a couple of years ago....but I haven't played it yet. :teeth: MP: I always make people dress up too.......they get mad at me but they do it! LOL! It does make it more fun.

Bethany: LOL at Sam! :teeth:

Donna, if you love it that much, BUY IT!!! ;) Speaking from personal experience, not buying something you love will eat at you. Keep it in the closet for a day or so and if you still love it, it will be worth it ::yes::

Shhh... don't tell Luis I said that (of course in reality I would be too "cheap" to buy it too)

Alan - couldn't help it - everytime I see someone posting a picture of a chicken, I think of your funny chicken pictures!

Donna - I don't even think I would spend half of that on a dress! Although, I'd rather wear pants than a dress anyway. I need to find a nice top/blouse to wear for a wedding this Friday! I guess I better get moving on that.

I've only attended one mystery dinner party but it was fun. I wish the host had been a bit more elaborate with it, but we had a good time and we did wear costumes.

(Somehow, I doubt that surprises anyone here :p )
