HI gang.

Sorry I haven't been around much but RL is getting in the way.

We took the IL's to DC yesterday to the WWII Memorial. FIL was a Marine in WWII and really wanted to go. I am glad we were all able to go as a family. Then we went to dinner and took Sarah back to campus and gave her grandparents a mini tour. It was a nice day.

I have to leave soon to get the dogs. They were at the vet having there teeth cleaned today. Now if I could just get them to brush.

Melissa, sorry about your friend.

E, hope your headache goes away soon.

Star, I am not help with sizes, especially Disney which seems to make their own as they go.

Andrew has his first Driver's Ed class after school today then straight to band practice, he will even be a little late. So the poor child got to school at 7:45 and won't be getting picked up until 8. I hope he doesn't have much homework.

Now wait a minute here! I finally get back on the DIS.....I'm sitting her minding my own business...(yes, I know...for a change!)...........and I get an IM saying I am being thrown to the wolves again!

I guess I didnt miss anything after all! Different day....same HOBBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad:

And I think that is a wonderful idea for tomorrow. I can only imagine the questions you will get Lars! :rolleyes:

btw...just a little update.....Dan took Kevin to boy scouts tonight.
Obviously he didnt get the memo on my just say NO plan..... :rolleyes:

He volunteered to be the assistant leader.....but the catch is......no one has stepped up to be leader yet! sigh......... :rolleyes:

Now he is mad at me because I told him he is on his own! :teeth:

(I told him before he went .......JUST SAY NO!....I did....honest!)

Welcome to scouting Donna......really...give it a chance, boy scouts are so vastly different from girl scouts.

I can agree with Steph on this. Boy Scouts has a much better and easier to run program than Girl Scouts. I was a GS Leader and DH was a Webelos leader. I think we've all been there.

I'm exhausted trying to adjust to my new schedule. I have to be up at 0'Dark Hundred and I have not adjusted to it yet! The job is going well so far. Nick is not adjusting too well to me working though.

I guess it will just take time. Well it is off to bed for me. 0' Dark Hundred comes really early.

Star....I was at work when you asked about sizes. I would say get the 7/8 (medium). Sam is 49 inches and 59 pounds. The 6 was too small but the 7/8 might be a bit too big. Id rather it too big than too small though

Ok, so how many of us are boy scout leaders? I start my training next week.

David is a Boy Scout and I've been leaders since he was a Wolf. I'm not nearly as active the last few years. I was a Girl Scout leader for 3 years, I think. I agree that they program for boys is a little easier. And Boy Scouts is a bit easier than cubs. I wouldn't trade my Scout family for anything. They are a wonderful group of people that we dearly love. Just keep it simple and always have several active game ideas up your sleeve. If all else fails you can always have them play a game to get the wiggles out.

I'll have to think on my question. That's a hard one.
