Well, they have told us to go home and we are not scheduled to work tomorrow (in hurricane winds) with the exception of an operator or two who are to make sure the systems are up.

I am on call, but am taking a laptop home that I can use to dial in and take remote control of my PC to reach the tools on my desktop.

I don't know how much I will be online, nor how long the power will be on, but y'all wish us luck and I'll get in touch when I can.

BTW...most newscasters are getting it right, but it is Moe-BILL, not MO-bill, Mo-BILE or anything else.

I've been to the grocery store today and I'm going again. They didn't have a few things that I needed, so I'm stopping by Walmart after I drop off my dancer. Allen is fixing hamburgers and steak fries on the grill when he gets home. Yum, yum!

Amy had leadership training today. Most of the 8th graders had done it one of the past two years, so she was one of the oldest there. She said her group was "a few beans short of a whole pot". I think she's glad the training is over, even if it did get her out of class for a whole day. Now she is running for Senator. If she gets that, she does training at our church camp. Cross your fingers.

My cat is chasing his tail. He loves to get under a kitchen chair and spin. The legs somehow help him keep the tail close. He can see his tail and tries to bite it. He's silly. I know dogs chase their tails. Do most cats do this? But then Evil Kitty thinks he's a dog, so that might explain it. In fact, my dogs seem to think they are people. Maybe we need a pet psychologist?

Miami... now that's one you'll catch me saying two ways as well... the "English" and the "Spanish" version have been known to roll off my tongue.

Missy, my fingers are crossed for Amy... I do hope she gets it. Oh and my cats... well, I think most cats are nuts (in a cute way of course)... and mine think they are humans (I think... sometimes dogs and rabbits, but that's a whole other discussion) but I wonder what they are thinking sometimes myself!

Alan, I have never heard it Moe-Bill. Moe-Beel is all I know. That;s me, the damn yankee!

OK the nose marks - As you know Sadie is blind. She is about a foot off the floor at the nose. As you also know, we live in a new built area, so we have no grass in our yard, just lots of loose dirt. When she goes outside, she sniffs the dirt and her nose gets muddy. When she come back in, she bumps into the walls and leaves nose marks, sometimes with lots of dirt on them and sometimes just her wet nose. Pete hates that it leaves marks and we are always cleaning them off. We found some wainscoting that we want to put up, beadbord with a natural stain so the marks wont show, but he hasn't been home much lately so we haven't done that project yet.


OK, now Max is hacking like he has a hair ball, must be all this talk of "When Animals are Unsure of their Genus"

Hi all! Back on my desktop after a couple of days of being just on a laptop. Have a stupid cold too... never try to install a wireless card when you aren't feeling well... doesn't work too well (cause of a couple of duh moments... as in hex instead of ASCII characters... meh... and it keeps cutting in and out... meh... I should stick to laptops

Marsha, I think the question we'll have to ask Alan when he checks in next, is how he pronounces the "bill" part of Mobile. I get a sneaking suspicion that it's closer to "beel" than the "Yankee" pronunciation of "Bill"
