More seriously here (although Alan, you did make me chuckle too), thank you all... he knew it was coming, but was thinking it would be spring when it happened. He is close to retirement and he'll know more specifics about his job in a couple of weeks. He seems rather optimistic, but I know it's sad... always sad to lose a place like that and he's been there mabye 17 years.

Merry, I can understand what you mean about Allen. I am living some of that too... more cuts were announced today at my job as well. That's normal and honestly as long as I get at least my 2 months severence, I don't care Sadly that is the truth of it. At least around here the job market is so much better. So none of us are terribly worried. I wish Allen all the best!

Hot here... going downstairs I think for the night... thank goodness I can bring a laptop with me!

Allen just keeps hoping his company won't change their mind and decide to keep him. If they would decide to keep him and move us to Canada, we'd refuse and lose severence, bonus etc. All the perks are the only reason we're sticking around at this point.

And do you know WHY?


Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb!


They don't even know that the bulb is BURNED OUT!


They would sit in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it out.


And, once they figured it out, they wouldn't be able to find the light bulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CUPBOARD for the past 17 YEARS!


But if they did, by some miracle, actually find them 2 DAYS LATER, the chair they dragged to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!


AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE WRAPPER THE STUPID @*!#$% LIGHT BULBS CAME IN!


WHY? BECAUSE NO-ONE EVER CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!!


IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE 12' DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE.

We just got back from watching the parade with the LK's......Leah did a great job with her dance routine......saw lots of firetrucks, got pelted with candy and junk. We just couldnt find Mickey though!

Major rain coming down here, bright lightning, lots of thunder and the type of rain that seems to be coming down sideways.
Lucky for me storms dont scare Sam and I look at this as good sleeping weather. Not to mention this is knocking out the heat we had the past few days. It's 79 now but only supposed to be 72 tomorrow.

G did great at the dentist, who gave us, a free ice cream coupon at Red Robin (gee thanks 20 dollar lunch for a free 2 dollar ice cream )

MP our dentist has been my dad's best friend most of my life, I practically grew up at their house, and g loves him so it sure makes going easier!!

my son meets his 1st grade teacher a week from tomorrow and then starts school on the 12th, I'm really not looking forward to my baby being gone all day everyday...what am I gonna do all day?? *sigh*

Gonna go see about sleeping not betting it will go very well...but might as well try...see ya
