:wave2: Hi Gail - great pic ! Thanks for posting it LK ........

Have a great evening everyone !

OMG!! YOU GUYS MAKE ME LAUGH!!!

Ok it's time for me to admit just one more thing the DH does WAYYYYYYYYYY better than me...He cooks and I don't just mean the usual man grill thing he can cook anything to perfection!!! I myself can cook just about anything as long as I can use a microwave!! lol

I'm only admitting this because he was a bit cross after I told him about my last post so I told him I would make it up in my next one! lol

I don't mind admitting this because I really don't enjoy cooking and he has been cooking away all day (his usual day off) and he told me he just loves to cook! He's also one of those anal people that have to clean everything as they go so I don't even have to clean the mess up. Tonight for dinner we are having Beer can chicken, smoked baby back ribs, my grandmother's secret baked bean recipe that she gave him not ME! (roll that beautiful bean footage)home made cole slaw and deviled egg potato salad. YUM! It's been funny watching him twit around from BBQ grill to smoker to kitchen and the amazing part is it will all be perfectly finished at the same time. I'm just staying out of the way enjoying my dis! lol

I LOVED the great race!! I'm so rooting for army dad; I loved it when he said "no one has died from pain" rock on man!

:wave2: HI Gail thanks for sending the pic and thanks LK for posting it!!

Welcome back CAMI!! we've missed you!

:rotfl: Lou that redneck application was too funny!

MP- tell Amy the thing I regret most is not wearing my retainer!! My bottom teeth have shifted slightly, the avg. person wouldn't notice but it drives me crazy. I have a permanent one on my top so they are ok but if I could do it over I'd wear that sucker!! Also my birthday is Sept 2 so if she wants to wait one more day I'll share my home made German chocolate cake with her....... Who am I kidding I'd share it anyway. ;)
I'll be merrily skipping to the mail box in great an-tici-(say it) -----pation.:Pinkbounc

hope you guys had fun at the lake!!

Trouble in Cranberry sounds like a novel.
::yes::

E! You crack me up girl ......The DH and I are complete opposites as well I'm a Virgo and he's a Cancer and it's true we have very little in common except that we've grown up together...well and golf but only after I taught him to play.

Ok time for me to get in the way so he can shoo me out of the kitchen so I don't feel guilty about not helping LOL bbl....

So ashamed to say I know that...

but what about those nasty, nasty symptoms? :teeth:

*spoon at the ready*

Riff Raff:
It's astounding
Time is fleeting
Madness takes its toll
But listen closely

Magenta:
Not for very much longer

Riff Raff:
I've got to keep control
I remember doing the time warp
Drinking those moments when
The blackness would hit me

Riff Raff & Magenta:
And the void would be calling

All:
Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again

Narrator:
It's just a jump to the left

All:
And then a step to the right

Narrator:
With your hands on you hips

All:
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane
Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again

Magenta:
It's so dreamy
Oh fantasy free me
So you can't see me, no not at all
In another dimension
With voyeuristic intention
Well secluded
I see all

Riff Raff:
With a bit of a mind flip

Magenta:
You're into the time slip

Riff Raff:
And nothing can ever be the same

Magenta:
You've spaced out of sensation

Riff Raff:
Like you're under sedation.

All:
Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again

Columbia:
Well I was walking down the street just having a think
When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink
He shook-a me up, He took me by surprise
He had a pick up truck and the devil's eyes
He stared at me and I felt a change
Time meant nothing, never would again

All:
Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again

Narrator:
It's just a jump to the left

All:
And then a step to the right

Narrator:
With your hands on your hips

All:
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane

Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again

Dang it! I wanted Donna to say those things, then tell me what I can do to get a free trip like that :(

Donna, glad you got the good ressie now!!!

LOL, my husband was a "virgin" until he met me and saw that movie... one of my friends was a regular Magenta at the local show in HS

Luis just got home and I am starving so I need to see what I can whip us up for dinner.

There are terrible storms all up and down the east coast. Andrew is supposed to be flying home from Orlando tonight. I have talked to my brother twice from the Orlando airport. Their flight was supposed to leave at 6:35. Apparently they have to wait for the plane to get there from Baltimore and it hasn't even left Baltimore yet. I think it is going to be a long night. At least I can stay home and watch on the internet. It is a 2 hour flight to Baltimore but about an hour and 15 minute drive for us. I just have to be ready to go when DB calls and says they are boarding.

DIS time for me.

P&PD for a safe flight

Serious post for a (VERY BRIEF) moment.

I'm in the process of applying for a FT job. I've already done this job...about 6 years ago, for the same company. Long story short, I left the company that is currently advertising, and went to work at their "sister" company..but the departure was emotional and I was very sad to leave...I was very close to my boss, and the owner of the company. When I finally left the owner of the company told me if things didn't work out, to look him up, the door is always open. I went to work at the "other" company and eventually left FT employment when I had Mmmmeeeggg.

Anyways...they now have the position available again, I'm absolutely perfect for the job...REALLY, it's like the job description was written for me....
The tough part is that I have been out of touch with this circle of people since I left work. Like I said, my departure was emotionally draining for all of us, owner tried to convince me to stay...I wanted to go....blah, blah, blah. I want to submit my application and resume, and need to include a cover letter.

Here is where I need your help...I'm trying to write a creative letter that touches upon the theme of "better the second time around" so I need some suggestions...the posting closes on July 20, so I need to get moving.

can anyone help, or am I just making no sense??

Carol, P&PD for Andrew and all flying home tonight

Steph, I admit I am awful at cover letters. It's rather pathetic but my dad (who hires a lot) helps me a ton... so I feel awful for not being much help. Good luck

maybe you could play on a round tirp or something like that....like we always like to go blah blah but we would never go without that return ticket because at the end of the day no matter how long or how far it's nice to come home etc.... or something ???

The plane has arrived in MCO and will be boarding soon. Only 2 1/2 hours late. This is exactly like our trip home in April. Andrew must really know the Orlando Airport.

Steph, does the job have anything to do with scheduling or organizing? Maybe you could make reference to having to run/organize your home and family of 3 kids.... a reason for being away from the work force.

Off to Baltimore to meet a plane.

Dear XXXXX:

Much like the roads a bus travels, life takes us down many different paths. And the first time down those roads are always filled with apprehension and anticipation of the unknown. But the second time through is much different. The second time through is approached with confidence and security that you know what lies ahead.

It is important for an employee to know what lies ahead in order to be successful at a job. It is equally important for an employer to have that same confidence and security in knowing they are traveling down a path with a proven asset.

I believe my prior experience with XXXXX offers us both that confidence and security to know our next journey together would also be a success.

Sincerely,

Boo's Mom (or you might want to use The Evil Math Riddle Mistress) :p
