Welcome ibouncetoo!! I can't wait to see Harry Potter either.

Carol, congratulations to Sarah! How is your mom doing today? I wish her well on her anniversary.

We are taking a few of Leah's friends (including Donna's Kaitlin!) with us to my IL's cottage this weekend for Leah's birthday. Just saw the forecast, though, and it looks to be rainy and a little cooler tomorrow. :( I know Donna is happy because that means I won't take Kaitlin for a ride on the quads. I'm going to have to think of some alternate plans pretty quickly if they can't spend the day outside playing. Pray for lots of :sunny: this weekend!

I hate when I have soemthing loading on my computer and the little loading box can't be hidden so I can't read things here so well ;)

Oh yay!!! New Zealand!!! I'll just sit and dream of my LOTR men now. I always did want to visit there long before though.

Shoot got side tracked so I'll make this short.

Carol, congrats to Sarah!! That is great!!!

Ibouncetoo :wave2: Welcome!!

LK, I hope you all have fun this weekend :) I'll pray for :sunny:

Praying for :sunny: weather for LK.

Congratulations Sarah. We're proud of you! Tell your mom we don't mind if she brags when you deserve it. ;)

Hi Ibouncetoo! Good to see you here. Hope you stick around.

Way to go Matt!

SB, I stayed at Dixie Landings several years ago and loved it. Off-site, the only place I can remember is the place we stayed in March. It was near Universal, but the pool didn't look too promising and it was outdoors.

Bethany's poem made me cry. I already knew the other one, but it made me misty too. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing.

I have to tell you a story. I decided a couple of years ago that I needed a quick haircut, so I stopped into a place that takes walk-ins. (I always seem to need the haircut NOW. Once I decide it's too long I can't stand to wait a day or two!) Anyway, the girl cutting my hair said I think I know you. I thought she looked vaguely familiar as well. We talked for a few minutes but it didn't click. Finally, she asked me my name. When I told her she started to laugh and said "My name is Rachel, Mrs. Schones." She'd been in my class when I taught elementary school. She kept shaking her head and talking about cutting her teacher's hair. :teeth: A lot of my "kids" probably have kids of their own by now.

Still no spider. Sitting at my desk is creepy! It may keep Amy from hogging the computer this summer, though. :teeth:

My kids come home tonight and my high school reunion begins. Not sure if we'll go tonight or just do the stuff tomorrow. Guess that's one of the benefits of still living in the town where you graduated. May wait to decide when the kids get home.

Carol - congrats to Sarah on her awards ... fantastic !

MP - cute story about your hairdresser ..... it's hearing stories like that that remind me how time flies so quickly !!

LK - fingers crossed for sunshine on the weekend..... for me too !
Our company picnic is tomorrow .... two days ago the forecast was for gorgeous...... now it's for rainy and barely hitting 60 !

Welcome ibouncetoo !!!

:wave2: everyone !

Sandy, I noticed the quick turnaround in the forecast also. The other day, it was supposed to be nice on Saturday and rainy on Sunday, but now it's reversed. Have fun at your company picnic!

MP - if your kids want to get you off of the computer, all they have to say is "I see a spider!"?:earseek:

Makes me sound like Miss Muffet. :teeth: Actually, I was thinking it would work great to get Amy off the computer. No way would she be sitting here right now if she thought a spider was dwelling in the desk.

Wow...chatty bunch today!

New Zealand looks very inviting!

Carol: brag away! Way to go Sarah!

LK, change in plans...we are going to the Cranberry Pool (you know, instead of well, you know....;) ) Lou

 ibouncetoo....Welcome!

Miss Muffet...er I mean, MP: have fun at your reunion!

there are two theories to arguing with women....neither one works
Cami: :rotfl: :rotfl: And I guess it is better to not exist before age 4 then to not exist now?;)

 Sandy

Merry that is a very cute story about your hairdresser. It truly is amazing how time can fly.

The weather changed for us here too... I guess storms from the south are making what was supposed to be a beautiful day, not so pretty.

Just got back from outside shopping though, not too bad out at the moment. I had to go shopping for Dawn's bachelorette party :teeth:

You know I think I killed Merry's spider yesterday. There was this big black one on the stairs and I smooshed the living day lights out of it with a shoe ::yes::

Thank you E for killing my spider! ::yes:: She was a quick traveler!

I get to play nurse today. Mom called. She's having dizzy spells this morning and now she's throwing up. She says a friend's family had a bug that caused the same symptoms. So I'm heading over there in about an hour to put the dog out and deliver diet 7-up. I'll try not to breathe while I'm there. ;) Any other ideas? Allen thought Dramamine might help?

No problem Merry!! I just couldn't clean it up after I was done... couldn't go that close to it, but Luis got rid of the "body" for me.

As for your mom, get some dramamine, and actually Coke (better for upset stomachs than 7 up), put it in a brown paper bag, ring her door bell and run ;)

Lemme guess, E, nursing wasn't your first career choice? Or being an exterminator? :teeth:

Just got back from watching HP3 with Donna, Sue and families. And before any men jump in here regarding the change in plans (again), just remember - it's our perogative to change our minds OFTEN! ::yes:: We all loved the movie, although Sue and I were rumored to have closed our eyes once or twice. sssshhhhhh

305.25 was my take at the garage sale today...not a bad day.
Now I have to get cleaned up and work 6-12.
Then it is back out to the garage sale tomorrow.
I have a feeling tomorrow will be a short sale, I really dont have that much left.

LK, you just made me laugh... actually nursing was my first major at Ohio State. It was too competative there and my grades weren't good enough. I did make it through anatomy though (yep cadavers and all) and a good amount of biology (cutting things up ;)) However what was there was a dead spider and those freak me out that much :o

Bethany sounds like you did great today! I hope work and the sale tomorrow go well for you :)

Hiya Everyone

As usual an eventful few days has kept me away, and you've moved on!! New Zealand looks lovely :)

It was my birthday Tuesday, but, we had a bank holiday on the Monday so as a surprise treat Jon and booked my Mum and me in to Center Parcs for the day to visit their spa and steam rooms (its a two storey building dedicated to relaxing - sheer bliss!)....

Then on Tuesday when everyone was home from work we went to see Harry Potter 3 - wow! Fantastic! What more can I say!?

I've also had a phone call from my lovely ex-WDWIP-roommate in Hong Kong, so that was nice to catch up!

Talking of catch ups, wheres Lou's latest?!

I'll be around more soon, hope you are all well and here are some :grouphug: 's!

Cya,
Gaspode

Gaspode, Happy belated Birthday. Sounds like a thoughtful gift and a fun day.

Bathany, good work at the garage sale.

Lars, how did yours go?

If cicadas eat spiders, I could send some your way.

I am going to go and try to transfer the band field show from 8mm to VHS to give the the director at band awards.

 All

Had a good day today.

Kids and I survived our last day of school........I think my DD was the only kid who got off the bus crying..........she is sad b/c she will miss her teacher and b/c she goes to a new school next year.
When I asked Kevin if he was sad to be done with kindergarten.....he looked at me and said "Mom, are you kidding?" LOL!

Went to see HP with LK and Sue........I really enjoyed the movie....no sleeping on my end of the row....;) I did not think it was as good as the first two however.

They showed a preview while we were there for a new movie The Notebook based on the book by Nicholas Sparks. Anyone else read and love that book? It is one of my favorites.........hopefully the movie will not make me cry as much as the book did!;)

What is everyone doing this weekend?

Just hanging out here...although we have a graduation party to go to tomorrow....and Kaitlin is leaving to go with LK's Leah to a birthday party. Am I crazy for allowing my child to go away for a weekend with some crazy internet lady? ;) :teeth:

Melissa: good to see you and Happy Birthday!

Mike: I wondered where you were........you didnt do the riddle! I thought you were boycotting cuz I did it! ;)

Bethany: congrats on the garage sale...sounds like you did well.

 everyone! Have a good night!

Evening Everyone!

Jackie - Welcome

Bethany - sounds like you had a successful garage sale.

MP - hope you find the spider soon.

E - WTG killing the spider!

Gaspode - what a thoughtful guy you have there. a spa treatment sounds wonderful.

Congrats to Sarah on her awards!:cheer2:

Was the movie crowded LK, Donna & Sue? I didn't want to take a chance that I would have to sit in the front row.

I cut the front and back grass today. It sure looks like rain out there now. Very cold too. Isn't it June?! I can't believe I haven't had the air conditioning on in 2 weeks. Thanks for all the help w/ the ressie suggestions. I hopefully will have something soon.

Hi Merry P!
I have the ornament you gave me sitting on my computer...I think of you every day!

I'll send some :sunny: :sunny: to everyone who needs it. It was 109 here today......summer has officially hit the desert. I REALLY, REALLY wish I was in the Mts of New Zeland. Don't be surprised if I pop back in when you hit another location I long to visit.

I watched LOT:TT last night....made me long for a real visit....made me long for Viggo too! Oh, sorry, helenabear...is he yours? Actually, I'd take Bernard Hill (is that the right last name....having a brain snork), he's more my age and Thoeden was my favorite, 'second level', character.

See you, angels!
