Slackers?

Do Angels even wear slacks? No wonder Brian had to bump so often...

Hey, it was the only pic I could find before lunch....

Alan...there are just so many problems with that picture....I don't even know where to start!:p

I am just back from lunch with Sue and LK. (House of Chen...yum!)
We bought some stuff at Costco for the meet and then at the party store.

We also have the rest of the food and drinks planned.

SB: we put you in charge of baking......cooking.....and cleanup! You dont mind, do you?;) :teeth:

And Lenny is in charge of all last minute things we need from the store.......including but not limited to chicken pickup....ice pickup....etc.

And Brian..........:teeth: .......I hate to tell you this................:duck: but LK signed you up to be the ice cream man!;) ::yes:: :teeth:

Is anyone else hearing David Lee Roth in their heads now?

And all my flavors are guaranteed to satisfy....

I'm sure that will keep Brian in Good Humor at least.

Lou, it is rare that I actually do laugh out loud...but you got me!

Seems there is quite a bit about "chicken pickup" on Google. Here's what I found:

Apparently, Chicken Pickup is a sort of ritualistic game that first started in Pittsburgh. (It is believed, but uncomfirmed, that it was the idea of the same guy who invented couples Bunco).

Anyway.....it usually takes place at a large gathering such as a picnic etc. Generally, an unsuspecting husband (Lenny in this case) is told to go pick up a chick. But it is not what they are expecting. (Amazingly, no matter how many times a husband has been told this they fall for it each and every time.)

Anyway.....here is a picture of the chicken that gets picked up. Guests at the picnic take turns riding the chicken around the yard. Generally, that is as far as it goes however if alcohol is involved these things can take a nasty turn. Nothing I can elaborate on here but I will tell you feathers are involved......

And to think.......you are planning to miss out on this!

Not worth a 7 hour drive..........HA!;)

AND...you should see what happens when you mix chickens with......CATS!;)

Edited to add: Alan...you have now paid me back for the Disney songs everyone has been singing all day......I now am singing Van Halen....thankyou very much!:p

Remember

Kinky = feathers
Perverted = chickens

And what happens to these poor beasts after such embarassment? Their fragile little self-esteems shattered by being nothing more than a prop used to make fun of husbands who refuse to cry "fowl", they have only one shot at a career.

How could they debase themselves even further?

Shame on you all!

Oh geeeeeez Alan.....I'm gonna be hearing David Lee Roth in my head all day.......

and I am not gonna ride on a chicken no matter how nicely you ask........................at least not until after a few margaritas:p ;) :p

and Lou~I'll be bringing a video to record all of the fun & exciting trouble we'll get into........................

I'm sorry, but that chicken link is just too freaky for me. :scared:

Stephanie, you ruined my surprise! Everyone coming to the luau MUST leave with a bag each of shampoo, toothpaste, conditioner, mac and cheese, soup, toilet paper, razors, hand soap, bar soap, spaghetti sauce, and whatever else Lenny buys in bulk. ;) :p ::yes::

You can get the low down on the chicken at snopes.com

http://www.snopes.com/business/market/chicken.asp

There are some links provided that list the commands the chicken will and will not do as submitted by fans of the site.

Obviously, I did not try nearly hard enough to put him through some paces. :teeth:

Hello everyone!

Just stopping in to say hi! I'm still working in my flower gardens.Busy with the last few days of school. Finally no homework for the boys, but.......

Nick informed me I now need to make lemon squares for friday, instead of brownies. Another trip to the store.

I went shopping with LK and Donna today. So no that is not me in Egypt. Besides my husband claims I dance like Elaine on Seinfeld.

:grouphug: and  to everyone I missed.

I think the twerp and pic may pass up my post count though!;) :o

Gee, I don't know Sue......you reappear on the same day as that chicken appears......:scratchin
