Gaspode, thanks for sticking around this time!

You are most welcome Alan ;) (do you need all the help you can get?)

Elaine - Enjoy your movie marathon. I prefer Puss to Antonio himself LOL, I think seeing Puss in Boots inspired me and Jon.... cos' we are not just getting one kitten, we are getting *two* more kittens!!

sorry Tiger Lily, I haven't said hello, so here is a  from me! Also, have a great trip!!

Lars - LOL about the wisdom teeth, you are right, I wonder what that means? :rolleyes1 Perhaps they are the reason you can speak fluent Larish and the rest of us find it so hard to master? ;)

Am I allowed to do a little "touch ups" on the pics first?

Mike I hope you enjoy your holiday!!!

Melissa, I still haven't seen Shrek yet (hush it all) so I haven't seen Antonio in his latest role. I love kitties too... enjoy your new ones!!! 2 are much better than one anyway! At the moment we are considering bringing in a third one... I always wanted 3 kids :p

I think I need to brush up on that "latin" there... I'm slow going on reading all that

You will very much enjoy Puss/Antonio Elaine, he is just so cute!! (and funny too :))

Thats just the point though, these two, plus our one (who this week has decided she hates all other cats coming anywhere near HER house/garden, so that should be fun!) make three altogether :earseek:

LOL

Melissa, I hear you on that with the one cat hating it. Cleo thinks she is queen of the castle (I won't argue with that though) and "hates" new cats. I do have pictures to prove otherwise though ;) But with the way Gwen is, I know I need a third sometime soon. Just not sure how I am going to go about doing it. I might go with a breeder to find a cat that won't mess with my allergies too much, or I might just go to my vet to see what she has and forget about the sneezing :p

Elaine - We went through the Cats Protection League. Its a really great charity who helps home cats and kittens. We went to see 6 kittens who were all available, but only 2 were old enough to leave the charity at that time, we fell in love with the 2 very youngest of the lot so we have to wait another week and a half (its been 1.5 already so thats 3 altogether *pouts* ;)) to get them.

I guess we are lucky not to have to worry about allergies, our main concern is Mips getting on with them and not hiding them in a cupboard or something LOL.

Cya,
Gaspode

Well, Saint Sue just called me and offered to take my kids swimming today!!:Pinkbounc

which is a very good thing....because I added up the people coming to my picnic on Sunday and so far I am at 50... plus kids!!

have to shop today.......Costco, The Party Store, and Walmart here I come.........::yes::

if you see me here................PLEASE...kick me to the curb!;) :D ::yes::

Saint Sue??? I'll be nice and not run with that one Donna ;)

Melissa, I quicklly looked up and will read more on the web about that group. We have shelters and all that here that some can go to. Now please don't think that I don't feel for the kitties when I see them, but the problem that 4 of 5 pets from local shelters that my friends/family have had makes me wonder about the alternatives. One of the cats, for example, had a serious bronchial problem that was contagious... I love fuzzy babies but I don't want to put my current two at risk for deadly diseases as well like that. Fortunately the kitty lived but my friend said it was touch and go. My sister's even had some sort of sinus/bronchial infection that might have been contageous. That's why I am thinking of going to my vet though... she has kitties that usually need homes too.

Allergies aren't awful. I couldn't ever get a persian again (he irritated me more than any other cat) but my Coons do well with me. As long as I take a Benadryl at night (they sleep next to me) I do okay :)

Hiya

Elaine - Definitely you want to protect your cats at all costs so I def. see your point. The good thing with the cats protection league (www.cats.org.uk if you didnt find it and wanted to read) is that they get all the cats/kittens a health check with the vet so they can tell you if any problems (one of the ones we saw has a slight heart murmur but they expect it to disappear - this is not one of the ones we chose). They also pay for them to be neutered, microchipped and for all their first vaccs. This all comes under the donation you pay and is a really good deal considering we had to pay for all that for Mips (and would have done for these kitties of course). They are also insured for the first 6 weeks you have them.

Great for kitties and for us!
Cya,
Gaspode

I think the next stop for this group will have to be the Catskill Mountains. Seems like there are either :cat: :cat: visiting or talk of getting kittens.

Melissa, I am heading out to do some phone shopping in a few (new cell phone) but I will definitely have to read that after my lunch hour! That place sounds absolutely wonderful!!!! I know every cat brought in will bring in risks for mine, but I like to minimalize if you know what I mean. Like Gwen had her first appt before she even came to my house. That way all the tests could be run before it was too late (if you know what I mean).

LOL, Carol... I think you might be right... although I admit I am just a fuzzy lover... such a sucker for kitties especially :) I can be good and hush about it for a while.

tsk..tsk..not only is she working and volunteering to cat sit, but some (possibly) evil twin is calling her names?

No wonder she doesn't post much.

Ah, but to be fair, it was only edited a little...you started it. :p

Now that you cleaned up the original post it makes me look like a bad guy.

Tricky, tricky....

Hi Angels! Thanks for the well wishes on our trip.:D
