Elaine, if you were me, you would just put it into the bank and forget about it. I used to know exactly what my bonus was and have it spent before I got it. But now, all the rebate checks, and refunds, etc are going right into the saving account. It just sits there, we don't touch it. So far DH has been able to see that he doesn't need his car plan money to live on, and is happy to have a tiny bit of savings, something he has never had before.

Of course, I know you have been very good about socking away the $ you saved when you got the new cars with less payments, and that's good, so maybe you should be frugal. Go for it another trip, yipee!!!! Hmmm, what about Disneyland Paris?

EB woke with a fever so she stayed with Grandma today. She looks better than yesterday but is still warm and has a headache. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.

We'll find out ours in a few weeks. There hasn't been any real indication of how much so all fingers are crossed!

Busy day today.......van is at the dealers gettng all checked out before the trip so I ran around doing errands with my friend.
I made a scrapbook/autograph book for Dylan to take to WDW. It turned out really good!! He LOVES it!

Great news about the bonus Elaine!! September & December sound like nice months to go to WDW

Marsha, you are right, I have been putting away money lately... actually I have a lot saved up without even trying. This bonus may go for another WDW trip or it may just go for Decmember and I'll make Luis go with me. I think it is going to sit for a while at the very least, especially since it doesn't look like I have time for a trip until September... and by then December is almost there. I'll see though.

Gail, I am glad that EB seems to be feeling better! I hope you have good news with your bonus, I know I am shocked with mine (that I got one let alone the amount!)

Busy day today running errands.

For dinner tonight, Kaitlin wanted to cook something out of her Emeril kids cookbook so I let her make dinner (with help). She made chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes. She did really well but everything took much longer to do. (And lets just say when God was handing out patience, I did not have time to wait in that line!). I bit my tongue and it was a good learning experience for both of us. We had fun making a mess! And it looked like a bomb went off in my kitchen afterwards! lol

Not much going on here today. Did some clothes washing and drying, although I didnt put anything away.
Covered a shift at the scrapbook store tonight; they are really giving me a lot of hours (lots more than TDS). Thats fine by me, more $ to blow at Disney.
It also looks like I will be working almost every Thurs, Fri and Sat nights for the next few months. Gotta love getting paid for scrapbooking.

Thought I would report that Amy got the results from the band contest. She got a 1 for her flute choir and a 2 for her duet. I though that was really good for a first time at contest. (Well actually she did city-wide 6th grade contest last year, but that's not the same thing).

She's working really hard this week, getting ready for the school play. The kids wrote it themselves. It's sort of a compilation of different acts. She's just in one with her good friend. Tomorrow is dress rehearsal.

Allen brought home Lion King 1 1/2 tonight. He put in on as the kids were going to bed. Said he just wanted to watch the beginning. Of course they came back out and said they wanted to watch it too. Now, I didn't really blame them for being put out and that made him mad at me. Somehow it's just not very fair to watch something the kids are wanting to see when they are supposed to be in bed. Oh well. It'll blow over.
