Just wanted to drop in and say hi:wave2: to everyone !
I've been MIA quite a bit lately .... work is really nuts right now
(I'm at work now :( ) and by the time I get home the last thing I've felt like doing lately is getting back on the computer !!

I haven't done any catchup reading - so hope you all are doing well and enjoying the weekend !!!

Sorry, I'm just now getting a chance to post today. Ok let me explain a couple things. I cook out of boxes alot or really easy things like hamburger(buy the already made patties) or spaghetti. I am slowly branching out into other meats and meals. I can make some chicken meals and actually did baked chicken for the first time a couple nights ago:o As far as onions are concerned...I just plain out don't like 'em! If I have to make something that calls for onions I use onion flakes from the spice isle:o :p I have a neighbor that said she is going to teach me to stirfry soemthing (Don't remember what) I really do need to make healthier meals and not rely on box stuff so much.::yes::

So far so good with grandma today. It's still early though so I don't want to jinx anything by saying she is doing great.
My parents should be at WDW now. They are staying at Coronado because of dad's convention.

I didn't get to yesterdays riddle, but since it was math related I'm sure i would have figured it out:p

Gaspode - You have me curious about the flower thing.

Lou - your recaps are wonderful. My grandmother thought I was laughing at her though!!:earseek: I had to explain I was laughing about things I was reading.

Dinner is almost ready so I better go put dishes on the round thing in the kitchen. (I think people call it a table:tongue: ):wave2:

Hi everyone, back form shopping... we'll have a new TV delivered tomororw. It iwll be part my bonus, part Luis' and part tax refund. I am happy with it and it seems to be a great one... spent hours just looking at them!!

Sandy, don't work too hard!!

Carolyn, I hear you on the onions, but for me they don't agree with my sotmach... never been really sick, but I sure don't feel good. I use onion flakes all the time... especially since chopping then makes my eyes really sting. Cooking w/o a box isn't all that bad and have fun learning it!!!

I hoep you all are having a great day!

Hello all.

Stephanie, I am so sorry. If I had known, I would have called.

We went to Kittery and bought a bunch of froggy things for the Queen's BD next week, then had lunch acroos the street. I had fried scalllops, and it was yummy.

Carolyn, when I was first living with Pete and married, I cooked out of boxes a lot. But as time wore on, I stopped. I do it now because: A we hate this house and there is no room for storing food, and B: we hate this house and haven't unpacked anything but the basics, so cooking is impossible, and C: We hate this house and don't want to have to clean the stove or oven.

Onions, so funny. My son hates onions, except fried onion rings, he will pick them out of stuff. But he is a chef and has to cook with them all the time. I saked him how he manages to make sure what he is making tastes right if there are onions in it, he rolled his eyes.

You girls across the pond, hope spring gets there soon.

Thanks for the substitute wave, although I believe that there is one poster here who waves enough for all of us and then some.

I am being close to bad, so I best sign off.

Haven't been around much today. We had booth sales for our Girl Scout cookies and tonight is bowling.

Marsha, so what you're saying is you don't like where you are living? ;)

Carolyn, I hope things go well for you while your grandmother is with you. Remember, you can always vent here if she is frustrating you!

E, enjoy your new TV! Of course, you'll probably have to test out POTC on it...

Sandy, working late and on a Saturday too. :( I hope things lighten up for you at work soon.

Glad to see you popping in a bit more, Gaspode! How is your new house coming along?

Carol - is your kitchen all sparkly yet?

Steph - are you and your DH still speaking after working together today on your flooring? :hyper:

 everyone.

Neil and I are still speaking, but barely..I"ll fill you all in later...i'm too tired to type...

Sounds like there may have been a nail gun incident....

(I know you don't use nails with laminate but a "laminate glue" incident didn't sound as funny ;) )

Hope everything went well. Husband/wife projects always bring out the best in a marriage ( ) as well as the widest range of vocabulary......

Steph, I know my DH and I have trouble doing household chores together.

The kitchen is all clean. DH noticed how white the counters were. We went out to a pizza place for dinner. DD is at a school dance.

Evening!!!!

The volcano project went well. I won't have a picture for a while but I'll be sure to post one. Matt, EB and my other daughter Arianna stuck Lego people all over it. Some are just faces sticking out....there's one guy head-first in it....it's really funny.

E - congrats on the new TV. We just bought one for my mom today and got her set up. I'm bummed that we missed the Full House episode in WDW. My kids have just started watching the re-runs and I told them about that episode. They've been watching for it but haven't seen it yet.

Marsha - we we took a ride to Boston today to check out the new tunnel that replaces the old surface artery. We wanted dinner and were joking that it was only an hour to Kittery. We love Bob's Clam Hut. Too bad we didn't know you were there!

Hope the cookie sales went well LK.

I haven't heard anything on the news from NH about a domestic incident so I'm guessing Steph didn't resort to the nail gun or the glue gun or any other weapon.

Hi Carol and Lou and Melissa (who's going on a cruise in just days!!!!) and Carolyn and Sandy and Donna and CS and SB and Mary Ellen and John Boy.

Marsha, I hope that the time between now and you move into the new house flies by for you. Must stink to not be able to cook completely too!!!

LOL, LK, the first thing my dad said was if he could come "help" us watch the movie on the TV ;) Pirates too :teeth: I hope your cookie sales went well and you had fun at bowling :)

Steph, I hope all is okay with you

Lou, I've noticed that too about projects and husbands and wives... that's why we've put off doing the fence and the basement for a while ;)

Carol, I hope you all have a nice night :)

Gail, that project sounds so cool! I can't wait to see pictures of it! Sorry you guys missed that episode of Full House. I don't think I've ever seen it before but they did the two parts back to back today. I loved it!

Oh I figured you all would love to hear my good find of the day... I saw this pretty sage green bedding at JC Penneys. I was cheap and didn't buy it for a while. It went on clearance and I finally decided to get it... was $350 and got it for $200 off!!!!!! Really soft bedding as well... Gwenie is loving it :teeth: I love it when I get a good find like this!

Gail, I'm glad the volcano project did well!

Hmmm...it looks like a volcano went off on this thread..is that ashes...no it's some sort of lint...no wait, it's Lent...

It must have come from a shattered promise...

Love ya, Marsha  and hope things getter better soon!

Hi all. It's been a busy day.

Amy got a 1 for her solo at state. And it was too high for her too. David came in first place in one swim event and last in another. :teeth: I'm not sure where he was in the other two events. He swims in two more events tomorrow.

Allen's merit badge fair went well and we all got together this evening to go to OU's last basketball game of the season. The players stayed after to sign autographs. My kids loved that.

Got most of my shopping done while everyone else was busy. Shhhh. Don't tell Amy, but I finally found the leopard luggage! She is going to be thrilled. It's hiding in the trunk of the car. We'll have to give it to her early, so she can take it on vacation.

We picked up pizza on the way home tonight. I need to pack up my mom's dog, Sassy and send her home. She spent the last 24 hours with us. Then I guess we'll fall into bed, because church is tomorrow and I've got to start packing.

Hope Steph and her DH are okay. I hate home improvement projects. It is so stressfull. It's easier to deal with this yucky carpet than it will be to change it.

Glad to hear the volcano is done. Sounds funny. I'm looking forward to the picture.

When is Lars coming home? Anybody know?

E, you got a new tv and new bedding? Cool.

Carolyn, I don't like raw onions, but I love them if they are cooked. We need to teach you to use a crockpot. My crockpot is my best friend. It's so easy to use.

LK, I'm craving Girl Scout cookies. But alas, my Lenten discipline says I should leave them alone.

Hi Lou and Alan. As usual, you are providing the comic relief.

To everyone I missed hi. :wave2: (especially Marsha, because she loves for folks to wave at her). ;)

Good buy E!!!! I love it when something I really want but don't want to pay for gets marked down.

I'm wide awake tonight....must have caught whatever our Angels from across the pond had the other night.

Wonder where the Lars family is right now???

Marsha - Hmm...bet you don't care for your house very much:p You can come cook at my house but you can't have my house I really like it:)

E - I'll come watch Pirates on your new tv;) Congrats on your great JCP find:) Did ya hear the "S" word is in our forecast? Yuck!!

Steph - Home improvement projects usually challenge the marriage vows. And any vows not to say bad words:)

LK - hope cookie sales went well!! We have something like 12 boxes of cookies in our kitchen...actually 11 now...I think DH ate a box already.

Gail - glad the project went well. The lego people sounds like something Nick would do::yes::

Well the first day went well with grandma. She was a little upset becuase Sadie (the kitty we took from her) wouldn't stay in her lap. I had to explain about 10 times that she wasn't a lap cat. (Unless she wants to be:rolleyes: or you are on the computer) She started to complain about dinner but I stopped that with a distraction. She also started on something about Adam and Eve and man needing a wife and her husband being dead for 20 years....knew where this was going too. Stopped that with a change of subject. (She thinks Nick is ready to learn about different aspects of life:rolleyes: ) I can already see I'm in for long evenings. We can't watch any game shows, talk shows, anything with any sexual overtones, bad language...and the list goes on. She even commented about the Arnold Classic and why "those guys and girls aren't wearing hardly any clothes. Are they just trying to get people turned on":earseek: :earseek: Poor Nick just went in his room and played his XBox. So overall not a bad day. No temper tantrums.
Well I must go sleep...I'm exhausted and Nick has Quizzers in the morning at church. His friend's dad is bringing him home from church so I can come back and chill for awhile. (I know I should attend services. They are talking about the "Passion" movie from what I saw)Night:wave:

LOL, Alan :p

Congrats to your kids, Merry!!! Last place after 1st place is still good in my book :teeth: So glad that you were able to find the luggage!!!!!! I am sure Amy will be thrilled!

Gail, I love it too!!! It really is nice for the original price, but I am too cheap ;)

Carolyn, come on over tomorrow!! THe house is a wreck, but if you walk right on by it to the TV, I'm sure you'll do fine! Sounds like an okay day for you too... grandma's are always a bit interesting to live with now and then ;) Next time she brings up the Arnold classic, just smile to yourself and think of the millions of dollars that is coming to here during this weekend :teeth: I hope the time with her gets better and flies by when needed!

Well I hope to go to bed soon... I have heart burn though so I doubt I'll fall asleep anytime soon

nothing much today

talked to DBF on the phone and we made early plans for nextweek(dinner and a movie) and there's lots of mud outside the house.I'm also sick of this weather and I'm working on DBF's b-day present

Morning All!
DD's been home and we've been super busy. Lots going on.
She'll be here until next weekend and won't be back until her bridal shower at the end of the month. We have a lot of loose ends to get tied up.
My dress is in, had my first fitting yesterday and it just needs hemmed! BB goes in for her 2nd fitting on Monday.
I really need to start working on invitations, they need to be mailed in 5 weeks!! So, if you don't see me around at all, it means I'm overwhelmed.
Have a great weekend!!
How did you Pittsburghers enjoy that 78 degrees on Friday?:sunny: I know, I know, some more yesterday would have been super!
