Hello my friends. Friday was a perfectly crappy day for me. First I had to go to the dentist. Always fun for me. This is a new dentist and I wasn't sure where he was. So I get out bright an early and I can't find it. I call and since it was before 9am I got the answering service. I asked for directions and she told me she didn't know because she wasn't even in the same city. But she did say it was in Egg Harbor. Well there is an Egg Harbor City and an Egg Harbor Township. I was in the township. There was no way I would make it to the city in time. So I went home. About 10 after nine I finally got someone in the office who gave me directions. It was in the township after all. Across the street from Loews. I was already there but I get in the car and go back to where I was in the first place. Still don't see it. I call again and tell her where I am and she tells me, oh you are close. Just across across the street (not the highway) to the Shoprite Plaza. Well for heavens sake you moron, why in the world didn't you tell me that in the first place??? Well, I didn't really say that, but I sure thought it.

I go in and fill out the paperwork and wait. And wait. And then wait some more. Finally I get in the chair and the girl asks me where my cavity is. I tell her. She can't find it. Well I will have to take an xray. So I wait for the xray to develop.

And wait.

The doctor comes in and he does find it and tells me he will give me Novicane. Then he numbed my gum with something first and it tasted like Pina Colada! Wasn't bad at all. He gave me the shot.

And I waited for it to take affect.


HOORAY! I am finally numb. He fills it and he did a good job, thank goodness. I get out of there and get gas and go home!

It was a little after 12 and I called my cousin. I wanted to go out to lunch to brighten my day, but she wasn't home. I ate a hard boiled egg and took a nap.

When I got up my lip was still numb. I got in the pool and swam for just an hour. That helped get rid of the last of the Novicane.

I came in and was looking for something reallllly simple to make for dinner. I was thinking grilled cheese.

Then the phone rang. It was Karen asking me if I wanted to join them for dinner at Sonic. Oh heavens YES! They picked me up and I had a chance to have fun with Jesse on the way to Sonic.

He told me he didn't get any time outs and no accidents all week at day care. WOW I told him how proud I was of him. He was so cute.

Well, I had my very first ever chili cheese foot long hot dog with onions. OMG I was in heaven. I also got onion rings. I was a happy person.

Karen said the doctor told her to pack her bags because he didn't think she would make it to the end of the month. Zoey is very low now. Karen is so ready to have this baby.

So I had a happy ending to a very trying day.

Hi all! I was without a computer for about 10 days so I have a lot of catching up to do. Glad Zoey is doing OK, can't wait to see pics of her!

Hello my friends. Karen is still hanging in there. Zoey is behaving herself for the most part.

I had some trees that needed trimming up. Some limbs were leaning too far towards the house. Chuck needed some trees cut down in his yard. So we got an estimate and they said if we got both properties done at the same time they would give us a discount.

So Friday I was in the pool swimming around and Chuck called to say the crew was there chopping down trees and when they were done, they would come here. So I got out of the pool and waited for them to come.

Around 12 I saw the trucks go passed my house. I started to walk out on my driveway to see if I could get them, when three guys walked up my driveway. One wasn't wearing a shirt with 6 pack abs and a big smile. Oh be still my heart! Then he said, "Hi Mom". Kind of killed the mood. But they looked at all the trees that needed work and then got the truck in. While one guy got in the bucket and used the chainsaw to trim up my first tree, Mr. 6 pack took out his leaf blower and blew off my whole driveway! It hadn't been done since Ron passed and was a mess.

They trimmed my other big tree, cut down a holly tree that was between the pool and the house and four small pine trees on the other side of the pool. And they cleaned up everything.

Before they left, I thanked Mr. 6 pack for blowing off my driveway. I told him it meant so much to me that he did it. You know what he said?

"Something told me that I should do that". Isn't that something? I believe it was Ron whispering in his ear. My sweet husband is still looking out for me.

I'll let you all know when our little Princess decides to come into the world.

I feel for Karen - she sounds like she's ready for little Zoey to make her appearance.

Karen had her weekly checkup this morning. Zoey is skipping a heartbeat every once in a while, but the dr isn't too worried about that. They will monitor her closely though. Zoey is practicing her breathing and sucking like a good girl.

Karen is due Sept 7, but they might decide to do the c section of the 31st.

It's surprising how much better the trees look all trimmed up now. My looooooong driveway looks so much better now that he blew off all the leaves, pine needles and dirt. I know it was bothering Ron to see it that way. So he gave a little whisper to Mr. 6 pack. He was cute, but goodness I could be his granny. Him calling me Mom was probably because they had just come from Chuck's house and he probably told them he was calling me to tell me that they were on their way. So they came to "Mom's house". LOL

Gee, I've missed you all! I never receive the email updates anymore - today it finally dawned on me to find the thread in my subscriptions.

I'm so glad Karen and Zoey are doing well - and the Docs are on top of everything, which is reassuring.

I'll go back and catch up now...Angelrose, found out this afternoon that surgery is scheduled for 9 a.m. on October 18th...now I'm nervous! She said to be there by 7:30 - will see my Dr again a week before the surgery. I am such a wimp!!

Oh Minnie&Nana you will be fine...I will say a prayer. Us ladies get all kinds of issues don't we?? Look at the odds that they WON'T find anything nasty!!!! Those are certainly in your favour!! If they were terribly worried they would have you in their a lot faster than October! I know though..we all get scared. Heck I am scared what they are going to tell me the plan is for my knee!

Minnie&Nana I've been wondering where you were. But I'm sure you will be fine. Like Minnie56 said, the odds are in your favor. I am sending prayers your way.

I went to see Nanny McPhee this afternoon. Too chilly and drizzly to swim. It was such a cute movie and I really loved the ending. Professor McGonagal from Harry Potter was in it.

Yesterday Chuck came over to get all my trash loaded in the car so I could take it to the dump this morning.

It was warm enough in the afternoon to have a nice swim. I was enjoying my swim when my phone rang. It was my sweet Karen asking if I wanted to come to Red Lobster with them. Geeeeeeee, let me check my appointment book. LOL Of course I want to. They picked me up about an hour later. I grabbed a couple of cars to give Jesse. He loved them and had a great time with it in the restaurant while we waited for our food. His dinner consisted of mashed potatoes and the croutons from Karens and my salad. There was popcorn shrimp but this time he didn't want them.

I had the maple glazed chicken. It was so good and I had some left over for lunch today (along with two more of those wonderful biscuits.)

We stopped at the mall to get Jesse some shoes and then it was time to go home. When we stopped at my house, Jesse said, "Gramma, I want you to come home with me." I told him some other time, but he repeated it. AWWWWWWWW that made me feel so good.

I told them that if there was an emergency to not hesitate to call me in the middle of the night to come over and stay with Jesse while they went to the hospital. We're still scheduled for the c-section on September 7.

Hi Angelrose, it's been awhile since I've dropped in, so good to hear you're keeping busy, getting out and about, and the summer is going pretty well for you . My, your DS and DIL are so attentive helping you out and I know know much you truly appreciate their company . Good to hear Karen and baby are doing well and little Zoey will make her grand entrance soon. I know you can't wait to get your hands on the sweet itty bitty princess!

Love all your stories about you little grandson Jesse . I've helped our DD&SIL by caring for our little grandson daily since he was 3 mos., then at 4yo he started preschool, so I only had him 2 days a week. Well last week he started KG and I am really missing him and all the joy and activity he brought. The past 5 yrs flashed by quickly as I watched him wave and climb up on that big school bus w/his Spiderman back pack we bought him. But as you know, it is wonderful to see them spread their wings, even tho it pulls at your heart strings to let go . Bless his heart, he's called me a couple times and told me how much he misses us and will come spend the night soon . I'm just so glad he's seems happy, likes his teacher, is doing well in KG and making lots of new friends.

If it's the Castle, our daughter's gave me one from our WDW family trip in '08... I love it and it's my fave snuggle blankie too!

First post here but I've been lurking for most of the year now and just wondering if Karen had baby Zoey today? Wasn't she supposed to have the C-section today?

Hi PixieFan. She was due to have the c section either today or next Tuesday. Miss Zoey Lynn decided it would be today.

Karen started having hard contractions around 3am. When they were 5 minutes apart, she went to the hospital. The did the c section and Zoey was born at 12:50 this afternoon. She is 7 lb 3 oz and is 20 inches long. Both are doing fine.

I hope to see them both tomorrow. I can't wait to see my little princess.

Congratulations Angelrose. So sweet, a boy and now a little girl. A perfect little family you have there. You're just gonna love buying those cute little baby girl clothes.
