Angel Food Cake

I am making a crock pot bread pudding (rasberry and chocolate) that calls for angel food cake instead of bread.

I get out my Angel food cake pan that was my Grandmothers AND the little bottle to set it upside down on when it is cooked. (The little milk bottle from what I am told is what the kids had at school before cartons.) I was given the pan and the bottle when my Gram passed away. They always stay together. Even if my sister borrows the pan, the bottle goes with it.

Now, if I did not have the little milk bottle, or if my little milk bottle should break......

What the heck do you use!?

I use a (used) 1 liter plastic soda bottle filled with water. I thought that it might melt but it doesn't.
